Bryan Hulbert - Las Cruces, NM (March 13, 2012) - The most prestiges

the word is out that some of the biggest names to ever sit behind the

Cruces, New Mexico.

Once again piloting a Casey Mink’s owned machine Bartlett, Tennessee’s

past the Southern New Mexico Speedway.

Continuing the list of racing royalty will be 2008 All Star Series
Points Champion Dale Blaney. Piloting a car for Baughman Motorsports,
the former Kings Royal Champion will be making his first visit to the
Southern New Mexico Speedway in a 305 Sprint Car.

One driver rumored to be in attendance is Danny Lasoski. If confirmed,
the former World of Outlaws Champion will also be in a Casey Mink’s
Motorsports entry.

Regional drivers making their way to the ASCS 305 Sprint Car Shootout
include Lubbock, Texas racers Brandon Black, Leighton Crouch, and
Preston Peebles along with Amarillo, Texas hot shoe Derrick Drown.
Drivers from Kansas and the Midwest are also expected to make the
trip.

Local drivers expected to be in attendance include inaugural Shootout
champion John Carney II and reigning champion Wes Wofford along with
Royal Jones, Dylan Harris, Lorne Wofford, JR Patton, and Kyle
McCutcheon just to name a few.

In its third installment, the ASCS 305 Sprint Car Shootout will
feature two nights of racing with the preliminary night awarding
$1,000 to the winner and the finale paying out $5,000 to the weekend’s
champion.

It's the beginning of the end already for the 305's. Guys race the 305's because they can't afford to compete with the top guys. I'm a Jason Johnson fan but this is ridiculous.

I couldn't agree more after I read the release.

Just like every other racing class. It starts off "cheap" then after two or three years the average person can not touch the class b/c the rules allow the money to be spent. It is a cycle that we have many many times.

Unfortunately this is the danger of money races in economy divisions. Its happened countless times in the past and will continue to do so . Touring professionals will cherrypick these deals for a payday and leave the series regular supporters to pick up the scraps.
