Another week in the crash racing at lawton. When are we going to start throwing some black flags for egressive driving. It seems like every week is getting worse and more and more cars are getting wrecked. This is a sure fire way to run off drivers, it doesnt pay to come race and spend three times as much every week to fix cars because of the egressive driving and crash them up racing. And now they want everyone to buy radios which is plan bull. What good does a radio do if the lap counters don't know what positions the cars should be in? I have seen it for a couple of weeks that a car passed on the yellow and what ever position they got to is were they started on green flag. There is NO advancing on yellow. Were do we go race were rules are incorporated and then inforced so maybe with the high cost of racing we can keep our cars together to race another week?

Lawton rough on equipment? rules not enforced? the hell you say! But seriously you're right, lawton's officials wont stand up and make the calls they need to. And they ARE loosing cars because of it, if you have a car, speak with you're wallet and go somewhere else. Lanny always says he wants us to say something positive about lawton.. well here something positive, since I have'nt run there I have'nt had to replace any cut tires or straighten any frames, awesome huh! I know its up to local racers to support their local track but only to a certain point, the promoter has to meet you half way. You can advance on caution, wipe people out to win, fight in the pits, do whatever you want as long as you pack the track on time! The officials have absolutly no control over the drivers at lawton, the flagman isnt even allowed to make the calls he needs to. He needs to black flag about 10 people a night until they get the idea that we are'nt going to run all over each other. Also check out buying your radio at www.aaarace.com I think its a little bit cheaper and its the same radio you get at the track. Its a bad deal, lawton is a good track when they work it right and if they would get control of their program it would be an awesome track, but right now it is in need of help. Some people are trying, the drivers association makes some good decisions but the track wont listen to them. Maybe they should switch to a drivers union, after all we ARE the customer and you have to make us happy before you can have a good show and draw the fans. Heres an idea for you promoters out there, work with your drivers to make everyone happy, sure i want more money BUT i would settle for a fair shake on the track, rules enforced the way they should be and treat me like an adult, dont get on the PA and yell about how the track is terrible and needs rolled in and then stop packing it before its even rolled in. Also when you say everyone needs to get out there and pack its up to YOU to make us to do it. Tell them to pack the track or load 'em up. Drivers don't want everything, they just want what they deserve.

Cardinal speedway ,eunice nm ,the track owner furnishes the tractor and roller packer, track is packed by 8pm , drivers dont pack, do you think lanny would even attempt to help ? dont think so

Boy Howdie, # 5 getting taken out ain't that ashame, Boy if I remember right you have slammed in to the Cars that I sponsor very hard the last Three event's. thereory of your driveing skills can't pass'em then slam'em. wow sounds like you guys have your hands full down there in Lawton. why is lanny not as strict there as he is at the city. if they even think you are driving rough then your gone. Sounds like he dont like his home track no more. Well i have never been to any races there so maybe im missing something. Well good luck to all the drivers who dont wreck others.

I know the 2nd of June, the 5 was the reciever first. Then later he was the giver. Some don't condone their cars being touched, but they sure condone theirs doing the touching.

Let me add that I did not even get to run a heat race bc i missed my heat because the 2 chalkboards were not the same. They would not even let me tag the bag of another heat. Told me I could just start in the back of the A. They screw up and I pay the price of starting in the back. Did not know that you have to check both chalkboards. I suppose I was drunk when I looked at the back stretch board for the line up. I hope Lanny does something about the track officials drinking and being drunk while working. Hope i never need help on the track.... Duke maybe that is what happened to the officiating at Lawton. David Ousley

i would have to agree that the feature went to the #7 car. pretty sad when a person hasto spin someone to win a race when they know their not quite fast enough to pass them. and a question for dustin.....which car are you accusing of taking you out every week?

Lets just quit talkin and go out there and race thats what we are all out there for right? They know who they are.

Lawton Speedway Sucks.... Thats all there is to it..... thats why I dont waist my time going.  I promise guys if i ever win the lottery, I will build you guys a "REAL" race track...

Point blank- No he does not care about the track that made him what he is today. Something obviously isn't right when you have the same guy win the sprints every week, and the same mini stock driver running over people every week. That of course keeps any new drivers from wanting to show up. Yeah, Lanny will catch wind of everybody getting mad. He'll show up, have his tantrum, things will get better for MAYBE 2 weeks, then he'll be gone babying the other tracks. It's basically like disiplining a kid. If you keep on them, they'll quit testing the waters and do as you say. If you let them get away with things, then they keep going and going until it's so bad that you can't control them. I haven't seen any of Lawton's official stand up and stop the bs. Not sure if it's because they don't want to be bothered with it, scared, or if Lanny has threatened them to leave his drivers alone. Maybe he's trying the media thing...the more bs you have the more people in the stands theory....Won't work here. No cars=no entertainment=no packed stands=no beer sales=no money in his pocket!

Either way, you guys can go straight to him next weekend, as he will be here with the ASCS. Pretty much the only time you ever see him around anymore. Finally we'll get to see a good race where we can't just automatically say who'll win! Not to mention the fact that Randy will be there!!! My boy, My boy, My boy! So freaking annoying.........

What is wrong with the same sprint car driver winning every week? He has been checked legal by challenges every year at SFS and I hear has been checked in Lawton and at all times is legal. Robert is fast, has always been fast, can jump into a different car (Butlers champ sprint at SFS) and give him a night or two and he runs up front in it too.

Robert is just that danged good and down there, he don't have to cheat.

I used to respect Robert Sellers as a driver...until he started deliberatly taking people out last year or it might of been the year before(Mike Baker incident)...either way since then, he seems to like bumping into people to get them out of his way. When you act like an idiot, then you don't deserve the respect a true race car driver deserves. Not to mention the fact that it's very boring seeing the same people win every week.

As for your last comment...are you saying that Robert Sellers cheats at SFS? Sounds like it to me!

No, he wins down in Lawton every week cause he has no competition down there like he does here at SFS. He doesn't need to cheat here, there or anywhere and I have watched him for along time.

Go ahead Christina bitch all you want!!! But it boils down to the best driver winning week in and week out. What does that tell you? Tells you that he is one of the best drivers around. As for Sellers taking others out, THAT'S BS!!! Last week the 14 car was blocking him bad, and as they came off turn 2 the 14 came down on Sellers. I mean when a guy shows you the front end and is about to pass you don't drive down into him. The 14 was a moron for trying to do something as stupid as that. Yeah race when you need to but don't intentionally try to take someone out just cause you getting passed. And no, Sellers DON'T CHEAT. He doesn't have to!!!!!
