2012 NCRA Southern Sport Modified Schedule Released!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma – February 4, 2012 - The 2012 schedule for the Park City, Kansas based National Championship Racing Association southern modified division has been released with twelve dates slated at seven different venues it was officially announced Friday afternoon.

The tours fourth year will open on Saturday night, April 7th in the first of three appearances at 81 Speedway in Park City before the second event in April occurs on Sunday, April 22nd at Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma in an event promoted by Speedway's Inc.

On Saturday night, May 19th it is back to 81 Speedway before the tour makes the first of two appearances of the season at the Salina High Banks Speedway in Salina, Oklahoma on Saturday night, June 2nd.

One year after being removed from the schedule It will be back to a double header, I-40 weekend for the tour on June 22-23. That Friday night will see the southern sport modifieds back at Elk City Speedway in Elk City, Oklahoma after a one year hiatus before heading west on the interstate to Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas for the fourth consecutive year.

Two new tracks await the tour in consecutive nights as the tour makes a stop at "The Hummer," Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas on Friday night, July 13th before heading south to Mid-America Speedway in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma on Saturday night.

Saturday night, August 16th will be the final appearance of the year at 81 Speedway before their second and final stop of the year at Enid Speedway on Sunday, August 26th.

Salina High Banks Speedway will host the tour for the final time on Saturday night, September 15th before closing out the season atop the big half mile oval at the Kansas State Fairgrounds in Hutchinson, Kansas.

The upcoming 2012 race season will be the 42nd consecutive for the Park City based National Championship Racing Association, which sanctions five different racing divisions in a four state area. Other divisions the series sanction include sprint cars, late models, modifieds, and the new 305 sprint car division.
