WoO just posted on their Facebook page they've added Hagerstown to the schedule on Sunday, May 20. I remember watching Sammy Swindell win there a few years ago.

Who Cares? Another overpriced outlaw show (at least $35) to see single file racing, They don't care about the track anytime the sprint cars race there, why would this be any different, save your money!

To bad Tiger Woods isnt a WOO fan . He could run a five car team with his money. Maybe he will run maybe USAC instead.

I was there twice last year for the sprint car shows, the track CAN be very good if they want it to be, last year it was pathetic! The track will lose out on this deal because the people who know, will not go, especially after spending two nights at the grove before this.

Haven't been to Hagerstown in years, but most of the time it was a good surface and show. I'm excited the Outlaws are coming because that probably will be one more show I can see the Black Bandit race in the area and Stevie always runs very well there. Saw him win the same night Mark Kinser set the track record in 1999.

Edit: Just read that Stevie will be racing Central PA more than first thought. Regardless I'm happy the Outlaws will race Hagerstown because Stevie has a good chance of winning that race.

Great news for East Coast fans. I am still hoping they add New Egypt (NJ) Speedway as well. Grandview (PA) would be awesome too.

Long live 410's and the WoO!!!

Last I heard this was just speculation and rumor.

Hagerstown used to be just about the best surface anywhere for night racing. Probably the greatest race in any division that I ever saw was the DIRT big-block Modified series race that had 18-19 official changes over the course of 100 laps back in aroiund 2003. But the surface has been extremely hit and miss in recent years. Even some of the night time shows I have seen at Hagerstown in recent years have been locked down and one lane around the bottom. That doesn't bode well on the Outlaws actually passing at Hagerstown. The surface isn't what it was 20 years ago or even 10 years ago.

I sat with Van May one night and watched a Great race there. I think it was Steve Kinser who had about a half lap lead on the last lap and got taken out (or into, your perspective is optional here) and I think Greg Hodnett ended up winning. My fading memory may be a little off here but it was sure a fun night sitting with Mr. May my favorite all-time Posse racer who I never got to see 'live'......

I'm guessin that the sink hole in turn one of the Selinsgrove Speederway has skeered off many traveling series...Either that or, the fact that they only have a total of 52 seats available for the non-mouth breathers who go there at their own risk... :~|

Opinions may vary...

Doesn't Williams grove have a no compete clause for tracks within 50 miles?

That's been rumored for a while now as the reason Lincoln has not had a WoO race in many years, but the only plausible venues within 50 miles of the Grove would be Lincoln and Susky. And I doubt Susky would ever even be in the market anymore to pay a WoO purse in its current state of disrepair and poor promoter.

Can't believe the fuss. If the WoO added a west coast track to the schedule, there would be no pi$$y comments or negative talk about the track. Its a take it or leave it situation, gentlemen. Pennsylvania PMS Pandemic, I assume.

You're right! They added a show at Perris, home of the CRA/USAC series, and for the most part (at least on the SCRA forum) they've just ignored it.LOL

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

That makes zero sense at all. You think people want to see one-lane, locked down racing where the guy on the pole automatically wins? You might not care, but most people want to see racing where passing is possible, especially for a $30-40 Outlaw ticket.

But in some way I agree with him, I'm happy there's another Outlaw show where at least maybe half of the PA cars show up. It's not like the WoO shows at the Grove are filled with a lot of passing.
