Might help if you put what region or series you plan on running. Going winged or nonwinged....etc. Just a thought.

Brandon is a great kid! I hope someone steps up and helps this kid out even if it is only a 1 night sponsorship. He has the talent and desire and is a VERY hard worker! Give him a call, you'll be glad you did!

I am willing to drive just about anywhere to sit down and talk about this. I need a good sponsor BAD! The $1,000 here and there is great but doesn't quite cut it. If you have any interest at all please get a hold of me! I PROMISE you wont be disappointed in what I bring to the table!

Well I was going to give a $1000 but since that is not enough I will move on.......You should be thrilled with whatever anyone gives you no matter the size. I have bought many tires over the years for low buck teams and dropped it off at a guys trailer and they were happy that someone helped them out.

Ahh Staggerman... cut Brandon some slack. Brandon seems like a decent young man, who trying to figure out how to keep his car on the track.

Brandon,

I have been patiently waiting, hoping for your sake, that this thread would eventually drop off the bottom of the page, but you and your supporters seem hell bent on keeping it fresh, even though it's probably doing more damage than good.

The chances of attracting a new sponsor via Hoseheads are slim to none. Racing at Jackson and other area tracks offers little or no marketing value. There just aren't enough race fans and your race team/race car isn't that effective. I suppose that sounds a little harsh, but the sooner you recognize that the hill is steep, the better.

So, now that you have a new, more informed perspective, here's what I would suggest. Step 1) Stay off the message board, unless your making an announcement. Step 2) Don't act desperate. I realize that you probably are desperate, but don't beg... Step 3) Focus on building relationships! Encourage friends and family to attend the races. Invite potential investors, but don't ask for their support up front. Get them involved, get them excited about what you are trying to accomplish, before you ask for help. Be respectful! Be genuine; don't dump a new friend because they chose not to sponsor. Be good to people and they will be good to you. Talk to a team owner who is already successful. Ask for their advice. Life is about relationships. Step 4) Figure out how to add value. For example, a show car appearance may add more value than a race night appearance. Sell your car as a show car! Ask a radio station to give you free ads, instead of money, and then give the free air time to one of your cash sponsors as an incentive. Figure out how to ad value. Step 5) Get creative!

I don't have all the answers, but this message board is a poor place to start. Your local market is small, you're probably aren't going to find someone who is willing to invest thousands. Keep things in perspective and good luck!

Hannity, you are correct. This young man is learning and I hope people will give him a chance. I am going to help him this year to try and put my 40+ years working on sprint cars to good use. I have told him that any sponsorship help, money or parts, is welcome. Like they said in the 70's at Knoxville, "Win Friends, Influence Racing". Be positive, be professional, and good things will happen.
