Hey Sean (nowingallballs) Since you missed the Western World you need to come on up for at least part of this show, or just run away from home for it all.... The two day USAC show they had there right before the Ovals was great, and the track came in nice both nights, as good as I've ever seen it. Some of my Cali friends who go to Perris regularly said it was some of the best racing they've seen all year.

I doubt if they have one yet, but as just a yard-mark we had 35 cars out for our regional Southwest Championships last month, and when you add the Cali, N.M., etc cars for this show, it should be a good solid field. Keep a eye on the Canyon web site for updates..http://www.canyonspeedwaypark.com/

If any of you are thinking about getting out of the cold for awhile this winter, and you'd like to see some good racing, check out the pricing for all 6 nights when you buy in advance...http://www.canyonspeedwaypark.com/ No, I'm not affiliated with the track, but I know a good thing when I see it.

Weekend shows start at 1pm. Weekday shows start at 7pm.

Here is what Kevin posted on SCRAFAN.COM yesterday......

Fans and racers in this region have been asking for a "speedweek" or "Winter Series" for a while so we are going to give it a shot. The response from the racers have all been positive and we expect a lot of cars, great racing and great series.

Although there is no official pre entry required for this race we will be talking to everyone and will post as we get commitments. I was able to talk to Levi Jones, Tracy Hines, Brady Bacon and many others at the Western World and all showed interest in being here in January. These guys coupled with Jeremty Sherman, Charles Davis, RJ Johnson will make for a great week of sprint car racing. Stay tuned for more info.
