Thanks...Great news....How many of these are day shows ? If any? And good luck with Wed FEB 1st show....you can't even get a good crowd for Oval Nationals or Western World on a Thursday night...Friday nights a little better..Sat night is Race night and usually full.....And did I see correctly ? Copper World at Canyon this year ? March 2nd and 3rd? Whats happening at USA.???..are they skating on thin Ice? Much nicer facility than Canyon as far at seating capicity, concessions.. lighting and bathrooms....or outhouses if we are talking about Canyon. Looks to me USA seats about 5000 and Canyon about 2000 from my armchair quarterback position.

If you look at the purse structure under drivers information scoreboard..http://www.canyonspeedwaypark.com/ you'll see that it's set up in way that should encourage the out of state cars to stick around for the midweek show, and a flow into the next weekend for them all.

I don't know what's going on at USA, only rumors, but I do know that Kevin is running the sprint deal at this time, and their working on improvements at Canyon. The track was great for the USAC show. There is no question that this is a gutsy move by Kevin, and if we want to keep a winter series alive in the desert, it needs our support

Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Fans and racers in this region have been asking for a "speedweek" or "Winter Series" for a while so we are going to give it a shot. The response from the racers have all been positive and we expect a lot of cars, great racing and great series.
