What a horrific way to end the Indy Car season.

Hearing about the lose of Dan just sucked the wind out of me. He was a great representative of the sport. Via Con Dios.

I was on my way home from Phoenix when Jimmy called me with the news. It's so sad. 2011 has been a sucky year for losing some great racers and fans. 2012 can only be better.
RIP Dan. May God bless your family and friends at this tough time. You will be missed by many.
RIP Chet and Mark. You might be gone but never will
be forgotten.

My wife and I had talked about going to Vegas for that race, but due to other circumstances it never materialized. When the crash happened, she ran out of the room in tears. It was the worst crash I had ever seen. Now I don't think that I will ever get my wife to agree to go to a IRL race or watch it on tv ever again. I am glad that we didn't go, it was bad enough to see it on tv. So sad.
