This is the 'one' long race that hasn't been posted yet. I saved it from last year

I'm reading "Lone Wolfe" right now and I think this is one of the few big races he said he won while in that car. I don't think he was in it too much longer before he decided to quit the ride. Lone Wolfe is a hell of a hard book to put down.

Thanks for posting these awesome videos. Who was driving the car that looked so different just after the 8min mark?

In which clip? You might be seeing one of the offset Oswego supers in there.

By the way-
When you see Shane Carson- Thank him from all of us out here, for these videos he's shared with us. I've had a blast! No, I don't think the party's over yet- but the Syracuse vids from the 80's have for the most part been used now.
I'd love to get the Springfield WoO/USAC show posted on here.

This would be the A main part 1 clip.

I think that's Ed Thompson in an Oswego supermodified with an ISMA wing on it.
Until the sprinters had to have wings on for safety, the wingless version of the Oswego supermodified ruled the show.

This is the wreck that convinced them to go to wings.

May walked out of the car fairly unhurt from what I heard. Also the Randy Wolfe accident furthered the idea of using wings too.
The crash sequence can be found here
