I saved this from a a pile of magazines that gave quite a few material away for mice to build their nests. It was just too cool to see it have the same fate.

Those are great memories. In Buddy's coupe it has a Ford engine in it, there was a rule then that you had to run the same brand of car and engine.

The bottom picture is of the Dewey, Oklahoma track
The bottom picture's caption reads
The success of the major state operations has caused several rookie 1/4 mile tracks to spring up, such as the Lakeside Speedway in Dewey, OK. This gives the rookies who are on the waiting lists at other tracks a chance to race.

Great Stuff!
Angelo Howerton, and Buddy Cagle, what incredible race drivers! No matter what
they raced, or where they raced at, Tulsa has never had better drivers than these two,
and that is saying alot.
