OK, let's try something a little different here. I would like to hear who you think will win the National Open and why? Post it and then just read along....three rules:
Post your reply and then enjoy other replies without having to repost anything.
No mention of previous posts -- this is YOUR opinion, respect the ones before you and hopefully those following you will respect yours.
Being a member of the "Pennsylvania Posse" or the "World of Outlaws" because they are better than the other is not a reason why. It can be a factor (i.e. home track advantage, good at time-trialing, etc.) but in itself it only results in senseless arguing....that's not what this post is...there are others where you can do that.
So, can we do it? One post each, your winning pick and a sound reason why....

I think it's been a while at the Grove but he's been pretty strong the last several weeks. I'm gonna go way out on a limb and say The King shows em he's still got it.

Don't say that - that team already believes the world owes them just about everything because they are just THAT good (ask any one of them how good they are they'll be glad to fill you in). Nobody is OWED anything in this sport. You earn it on most nights and on some nights luck has to make up the difference.

You will have a good clue after TT, who will have a shot. Starting position is big at the Grove. Before that nobody knows, to many good drivers in this race. What somebody has been doing don't mean a thing. If your out of the top 16 in TT you will have a long night. Good luck to everybody, prov will be in effect. Don't bet the house on anybody.
For Sat, weather could be a problem. All the campers are already having a problem with Mud. WG water and Mud park.
Lets not get stuck on STUPID

The guy with a chassis like an 87 Gambler or an 89 Maxim and a chev. If all the drivers would just change their name to louis chevrolet everything would then be completely identicle
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Ref: j holz, thank you.Ref: threadkiller,I followed the authors asking for who and why,it takes all kinds and evidently you are one of those kind.just for once bite your tongue or start your own thread,to blaspheme on your writing you my friend just don't know how hard these people have worked and sacrificed to get where they are today, just like every damn one of the people who have enough fortitude to pursue a goal, you my friend have NO right to demean anyones hard work and goals to succeed in life today, whether you are a traveling WoO or a local racer who ventures out now and then a lot of people sacrifice a lot of things to entertain us with a race car.I think I could say a ton more but I think you get my point.

The Black Bandit will take his second big win in three weeks . . . or so I hope so anyway! Other Posse members with a very good chance IMO are Pittman and Hodnett . . . can never count Dewease out in this race either.
