i see the wild child is in the #57 rockstar car for a 1 race deal...this will be a oppurtunity to see how good Shane Stewart is or how good the equipment is in that beast.
Best of luck to the "Wild Child"

For the past two seasons Shane Stewart has teamed with Tim Norman and Joe Gaerte for the Canadian Nationals. In 2011 Shane committed to run an extended schedule with the duo. With the upcoming WoO races in Paul Silva's backyard in CA, he has made the call to put Jac Haudenschild in the seat of his potent ROCKSTAR/Makita No.57. This is a one time deal as Paul wishes to take advantage of racing in his home state. Shane Stewart is still the driver of the Silva No. 57.

Actually it is a one time deal but a three race deal. One race in the non-wing car and then the next two nights with the WoO at Silver Dollar Speedway.
Shane has won the last two years up in Canada driving for Joe Gaerte during this time slot and has committed to try to do it again this year....thus the reason he will not be in the 57 car in Cali.

My prediction...If Haud wins every show people of the Message board will ridicule Shane Stewart. If Haud finishes second in all of these shows people of the Message boards will ridicule Haud and say Shane would have won them! All in all it won't matter.

i believe that even if haud does win all of the shows, people will still remember stewarts run at the nationals this year.. came from dead last to 4th on qualifying night..from the back to second twice on friday night.. amd from the back to 2nd on saturday.. people will see that and think he is a hell of a driver.. if that race were a 52 lapper, he would have won it.. remember that

Shane was racing with the Posse driving the McClaren 21 at New Egypt, NJ last night. The team usually runs a 360 with URC, but dropped in a 410 for the "Jersey Rush". Had heard a rumor few days ago that Shane might run the 360 Selinsgrove Nationals in the 21 Saturday night, but haven't seen any confirmation on that. He won a race at Selinsgrove several weeks ago in the car.

Referring to another thread this past week, let's see how much equipmnet Jac tears up int the 57. If he keeps it in one piece, then hush to the nay-sayers. If he wads it up, then they can say we told you so. Appears to be the perfect test!
Bye bye, Hardhat!

I saw 10 Gold Cups and the year that Jac started about 12th and won was about the single greatest drive I've ever seen in a sprint car. On and off the track on both the front and backstretch, ran both the top and bottom and was on the edge the whole friggin' race which is exactly what you have to do to win from that far back at Chico. This is a wreckers or checkers place, so that scares me but I sure as heck will be cheering for him no matter the outcome.
This is one race that should be on Dirtvision because the Eastern folks can go racing and get home and watch this race, they would draw huge. Heck, some of us can hit their favorite watering hole and get home to watch it also. They have good video, no make that great video guys already out there in Grove Hill, Randy Frank and Jeff K. I think it makes too much sense to show it, come on Dirtvision, figure it out and show a bull ring with great racing.....

Different year but there is also the year at Gold Cup where he had just passed both Steve Kinser and Andy Hillenburg for the lead only to encounter a wayward local lapped car coming off turn two which lead to him getting launched into the back stretch pit stands. Could be wrong but I'm thinking that may have been '95. Bummer of a way to end 4 great nights of racing.

That is exactly why I am a Haud fan!!!

both drivers are equally talented, should be interesting to watch the outcomes of both teams. i like jac but shane has won many more races this year (and any year) than jac. just sayin....
Ascot was the greatest of all time..
West Capital wasn't half bad either..
Life is good...

Jac does have 52 W o O wins and a couple of Gold Cups and three Kings Royals in his resume, nothing to sneeze at, just sayin'....

Why can't everyone just be happy, to me it's a win win situation. Shane, who has a prior commitment is taking care of business, on the other hand Paul is also taking care of business. I think Paul has made a great choice in Jac, he has had done an overall good job in the Gold Cup races, and oh he is a fan favorite no matter what he drives. Shane is also a fan favorite and I wish him well in the Joe Gaerte deal. It's only a few races folks, that's why it's a win win. jmo.
