Scott Clobes won the feature but after the race it was given to someone else. The announcer said someone might have made a claim for the car and he turned it down. Is that what actually happened and what are the rules and penaltys for doing that.

Yes he was claimed by #74 Tim Pessek and Scott did turn it down. In order for Scott to race in Redwood again he will have to pay a $500.00 fine and will not be able to race for 30 days.
My drinking team has a racing problem!!

I have one thing to say about this Why not claim Tim Pessek? He has been runing in the top 4 everynight sat night he dint cause he got a flat..But what i really want to say is why he claimed is bullshit..Yeah he said sat night he was going to claim scott clobes if he was there cause he hit tim in the back end a week ago in arlington..Am sorry Tim you hit more then Scott dos. So should people start buying you??

Tim how long was that 3 years or longer? All i know is why you we're trying to claim his is bullshit..Am glad he turned you down. Maybe it was cause he was wining and you din't lol

hey pitbunny he tryed to claim him cause scott hit him in the ass end at arlington.. he was saying in the pits sat night in arlington that he was claiming scott sunday if he was there on sunday what bullshit if you ask me i think bob and them should step in and do something about that.

I agree. I think he tried claiming someone in Redwood a couple of years ago and they also turned it down. It would be different if he never wins a race but he has and can win a race. Not fair to the poor guy that only gets in the top 4 or wins a couple of times. You have to worry weather your going to lose your motor that night or not.

Thats right..He has been in the top 4 every weekend this last sat he was like 3 or 2nd from last cause off a flat tire. I just think it should be know what he said sat night in arlington this is not the first time he has talked smart or said shit that happened or dint happen..I think scott should be able to race at redwood he is a good racer and if i rember right thats why he quit in stock cause dumb ass where claiming him..I agree to buy a moter if your not winning or have a small one that can't run with them but he dos have one we all see it every sat night or sunday night..

Maybe someone needs to claim him and then after losing a motor he will know what it feels like. I dont think its fair you have to pay a fine and sit out of racing just cause you turn down a claim. Who can afford to give away a $2500.00 for $325.00. What ever happened to sportsmenship.

They knew the rules when they signed in the pits. Refusinf a claim is just like cheating I would have been honored to sell my hobby stock engine for $325 back in the day for one I would have finished a race for once in the top four and having anything over $1,500 tied up in a hobby stock engine deserves to be claimed. I'm perty sure that Tim wouldn't claim a guy for crashing him thats not the type of guy he is because then he would have been claiming alot more engines in the past years.
I will happily sell the heads off the 93x sprintcar for the claim price any night that I am privlaged enough to finish in the top four

Well thats too bad that he did it. I seen Tim was leading in points coming into Sunday and was last seasons track champion in Hobby A. I suppose cause he finished out of the top 5 and Sara finished ahead of him. Scott was 11th in points and probably woulda challenged him for the points chase.
Curt Lund has been on a winning streak in Sprint Cars and Modifieds. Has anyone tried to claim his motors? Boy that crowd over there would really go nuts if he had to give up a win.

Well if he wasnt that kinda off guy Why the hell did he say it then? He said it sat night at arlington! Maybe its cause scott has done a awsome job driveing and winning at arlington and redwood and maybe tim wants to be #1 and he's not!!! If he wasn't going to claim for that reason maybe he should have never said it at arlington..IT'S BULLSHIT. But i guess you kiss enough ass you can do anything..I just think it should be told what he said and why he claimed...

From what I read someone wanted it at Arlington last week as well after he won and declined the offer.

I don't care i think someone should do it right back to 74.

that's an easy one........all you have to do is cross the finish line in whatever place you think you would like to place that particular nite!!! i dont think ANYONE COUNTS THE LAPS YOU RACED. all they do is see where you come across at. but maybe that is only if your.........well lets just say a little kiss ass....oops!
