J. Gearte runs the engine shop, Karl Kinser had been on road for about 37 years. Karl was a budget racer and his profit was getting less and less. Some do not remember Mark had his own team befoe Karl, so he was in it more than most think. I think both wanted to be at home with family. Karl was past retirement age.

Lambertz should have gone to Hollywood, he always reminded me of some superhero back in the Roman gladiator days. 'Storm' Norem made one appearance at Knoxville this year in a 360, miss that guy a bunch, some of the greatest drives I ever saw were by him at Knoxville...

IRA had 4 guys in attendance, Billy Balog, Mike Reinke, Todd King and Russ Borland and all of them are in the top 10 in points. Most of the IRA regulars are budget racers and would prefer to be able to run all the IRA races then blow their budget going for one weekend to Knoxville. It is not a cheap event to attend when you add in 4 nights hotels, diesel, food, pit passes and then add the operating costs.

How about Dion Hindi?
The last time I saw him was the last night of the season that he ran regularly at Knoxville. I sought him out that night and he was all alone at the time. I thanked him for being a regular at Knoxville that year and told him how much he had added to their weekly shows.
At the time I thought he seemed really down and from his conversation he just seemed sort of at a loss for what came next. When I left that night I had the sad feeling that I had seen Dion run for the last time.
Miss you Dion. Wherever you are and whatever you're doing, hope you're healthy and happy.
God bless Dion Hindi.

Many thanks to Balog, Reinke, King, and Borland for representing Wisconsin.

Also miss watching race just a few more at the nationals......Brent Antill, Jayme Moyle, John Sernett, Gary Wright, Brad Furr, Frankie Kerr, Dave Blaney, Billy Pauch, Donny Kreitz, Kasey Kahne, Hillenburg, Jimmy Sills, M. Kinser, Wolfgang, Bobby Allen, Cris Eash, Keith Kauffman, Brent Kaeding, a Guy Forbrook entered car, Al Hamilton car, Dyer Brick car, Marty Johnson/Taggert car (81), Dennis Moore Jr., Jeff Tuttle, Jesse Gianetto, John Lambertz (you've got to talk to his dad Greg about anything and everything!!! LoL), Lance Blevins, Manny Rockhold, Chesson Brothers, Steve Beitler, Jimmy Carr (still there just as a chief mechanic), Woodke 1W, Blake Feese, Dustin Lindquist......etc. Drivers come and go, retire, run out of money, only wanted to race "X" amount of years, move up to NAPCAR or try to settle down, etc......but wish they were still there!!!

Stevie Reeves is a NASCAR spotter. He used to spot for Jimmie Johnson but now I believe it's for Paul Menard.

berryhill broke his leg earlier this year, i have always liked aaron. that guy was and always will be one of the best in my eyes. on a personal level he is probably the most humble guy i have met in this sport, which goes a long way with me since most drivers are either rich boy assholes or just too into what they are doing to talk to someone they've never met. berryhill for president!
