I have a video of what is called 1987 Knoxville Nationals, but the A main is a daytime event. Did the final A main get moved to Sunday due to rain?

This video is different that the one posted on youtube already. Which I think may be , may be that is, a pre liminary night.

Please help get it clear. This daytime Knoxville show is way cool!

What year did the fog move the race to a day show? I was there that year and every time the cars came off the track the fog would set back in. It would take a couple of laps for the fog to lift otherwise you could not see the cars on back stretch. The day show was worse.

Mucho rain all week. I think the got most of Wednesday's program in Friday night. Saturday afternoon the ran the Wednesday A main then the full Thursday show. Cleared the place, worked the track, then ran the Saturday night mains. We got out of there around 4am and drove straight through to Cali. They ran the Friday night race of the states and mystery feature, etc on Sunday.

Brian that was a prelim race. It was shown on American Sports Cavalcade on TNN back then and my uncle has it on tape which was how I got to watch it. I remember Steve winning over Ronnie Daniels and Kelly Kinser then Steve kicked everyone's ass on Sat. night. Please upload it I'd like to see it again.

Funny how Knoxville works out. My dad was there in '87 when the A-main finished around 4am and then I was there in '92 when the A-main started just prior to 10pm (seems impossible to imagine now). You never know what you're going to get.
