It's been well over 30 years since Eagle Raceway had a weekly non-winged sprint car show, and there has been no non-winged competition at Eagle for several years now. But that will all change this week!! Fans will have a chance to see something that's never happened before in the state of Nebraska on August 5th, 2011. The wingless wizards of the United States Auto Club will be bringing their 410 Sprint Cars to compete at "America's Home Track" Eagle Raceway that evening as Coors Light presents the Rumble in the Bullring!!

Since Tony Hulman formed USAC in 1955, the non-winged sprint cars have never competed in the Cornhusker State; but that will be remedied when the nation's oldest continuously run nationally touring dirt track racing series visits the high banked 1/3 mile. The Amsoil USAC Sprint Cars compete from coast to coast each year, and Eagle Raceway is honored to have them visit our facility.

Currently, Levi Jones leads the season-long points race. Chris Windom, Jon Stanbrough, Bryan Clauson and Robert Ballou round out the top5 in the chase and all of them hope to close the gap with a victory at Eagle. Those 5 and many, many more drivers will be the first USAC competitors to drive their 410 fire-breathers here, and will give the folks in the stands a thrill that will stay with them for many years to come. Also on the card are the SLMR Late
Models, Mod Lites and the 600cc Mini-Sprints.

Front gates will open at 5:30, with adult admission being $20. Youths (6-12) are just $5 with kids 5 and under are free. The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation will be in the courtyard from 5:30-6:30, and there will be Velcro Wall Fun there from 5:30-6:30 also. Coors Light Happy Hour will run from 6 until 7. Hot laps begin at 6:30 with racing beginning at 7.

Please note: This is a special event. Be our guest passes, Buy one get one free passes and all other regular event passes are not valid for this event.

Pit gates will open at 4 P.M., and pit passes will be $25. See the driver information tab at http://www.eagleraceway.com/EagleRaceway/ for necessary forms.

Any idea of how many cars might be there?

I had heard (you know how that goes) that they guaranteed a full field, plus I know of at least 1 local who's removing the lid to compete with them also.

I'd guess I was at the last non-wing 410 show at Eagle. Maybe not, but the WoO had a two night show there 10 to 14 years ago or so, and the California non-wing guys, not sure if they were called CRA back then or not had a show the night before the Outlaws.

Lawlessness and liberalism equals Hell. NY City,
Detroit, Seattle, Chicago, Minnepolis, etc. We saw it.
Burning hundreds of buildings, a thousand assaults and
dozens of murders. Getting worser and worser.

I know it's been TOO long since we had some non-winged sprinters there. Can't wait to see them again; it might take me back to the old IMCA racing at the state fairgrounds.
