Is Cowtown no longer running on Saturday nights? I see they ran last night and their schedule for the near future has been taken down. I know the car counts have been down (like everywhere) this year. Was curious if this was a strategic deal w/ KSP or Devil's Bowl to have fewer tracks competing for cars on Saturday nights.

They moved to Friday nights about a month ago to see if that would help car count which, as you stated, are struggling everywhere.

I still say it has a lot to do with Cowtown adding so many classes in the last couple of seasons and it is a beating to come to such a great track and have to sit thru all those other classes that apparently brings a bunch of those little race cars but cause a lot of die hard dirt track fans to go where there is less quantity but more quality racing.

Thanks for the update, David. Due to having a young son, I don't get to go to as many weekly races anymore and mainly try to hit some of the special ASCS shows at Cowtown or the Bowl. I don't care for sitting thru so many support classes, but totally understand the promoter has to do whatever is necessary to keep a track a viable business interest during a challenging economy. I do appreciate Bo running the sprint A-mains prior to many of the support class A-mains, which typically isn't done at most places.

Think those fall nationals have been moved to Kilgore.
