Siloam Springs Speedway in West Siloam, Oklahoma has closed until further notice.
Also, Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Oklahoma (Fort Smith) has ceased operations but news concerning the future are forthcoming.
It is my guesstimation if one more track doesn't get a better car count crowd then they will be forced to shut down as well.
This makes Enid Speedway (future pending end of this week), Creek County Speedway (future pending a takeover rumor has it), Outlaw Motor Speedway (under new ownership for third time in two years), I-44 Speedway (new ownership) and the above mentioned.

Really sad isn't it.we are in the process of building 2 new cars and it just makes ya wonder if you want to spend the time and money to finish them.I hope some of these rumors as to other persons taking over actually come true.

The contract that Phillip Herndon was trying to work on with Rick Magnuson fell through.Basically Phillip bailed out and went back to Texas. So Rick Magnuson is back to running the track again! WSS ran last night 6/25. www.westsiloam.com

Thank you for that information as I hadn't received it...
Also Lake Country Speedway was slated to be shut down but John Webb of Pauls Valley has bought the track from Virgil Page. They did run Saturday night with the Webb reportedly taking over the reigns either next week or the week after.
No word yet on Tri-State Speedway and have received no information on whether or not the WoO late model shows for Outlaw and Tri-State will still happen.
