I think you have a problem with racing . I never read anything you said that is positive. You do all these trips and get discounts and such from the tracks, and then come on message boards and bad mouth these same people. Hmmmm.

Yes. Narrower/shallower/smaller wings ... harder tires = less HP|more driver needed... = definitely YES.

And that's why modifieds run stock 283's-right? And ice racers run stock 4cyl.-right?

No , problem at all , you don't read all my threads or questions on this site or others . I try to light the fire under these sanctioning groups to do more for you . If tracks , organizations do positive things for fans then I give them occolades for doing such things and more . Sometimes these groups don't use all there resources possible to do what needs to be done for better racing , etc. Often they are set in there ways to save money not to help our fans like you and others

That horse left the barn a long time ago - I don't think you'll ever see any major samctioning body turn back time. Now if the WoO were to legislate the changes, all of the other organizations in the country would follow.
But it ain't gonna happen......

If you don't like the way the 410 sprints run and think they need something different, like less speed why don't you watch the 305's or the 360's? The object in racing is to race hard and fast! Thats what your seeing when you watch the Wo Outlaws race. If you asked any of the top drivers I'm sure they don't want to go backwards in time! I think they are just fine the way they are.
One of the problems with racing is that younger generations come along and think they know how to change a good thing, the problem is they don't even know what they are looking at when they watch a race! Maybe NAPCAR is for YOU! I have been around racing for over 40 years and enjoy the shows as much today as I ever did.

I like speed to and admire today's drivers but in my opinion the WoO BRAND OF RACING CAN BE IMPROVED . I know alot of you may not agree and you entitled to your opinion as I am to mine . NASCAR , INDY CAR and other forms of racing can be improved as well to sell auto racing to new fans as well as older like me and create new fans . Right now looking at the sprint car picture , I think USAC wingless cars put on a better show then the winged cars as of now . You and alot of other fans have good solid ideas to see better racing , so why do the so called sanctioning groups not listen ?

Two questions. Which series draws more fans per race? Which series pays better purses? USAC or WoO?

While i don't agree 100%, I do see where you are coming from. Almost everyone can agree that a slow, slick track produces much better racing than a fast tacky track. At least that is my opinion. I always felt that if a record was broken in qualifying, there was going to be a follow the leader race to follow, and usually there was. I don't know if they necessarily need to substantially change anything, but I do see the point. Slowing down sometimes improves the show greatly, just don't know if going backwards in the rules will go over well with the majority.

First, WOO is promoted WAY more than USAC.
The better promotion is producing more money, thus better purses.
I have been going to these events for 25 years, and I have to say that 80% of the USAC shows that I have been to have been better than the Outlaw shows, or any wing shows for that matter.
I will give you that the wings are impressive looking, but the shows are not better.
Never hit stationary objects!

Here are somethings to think about. Engine: No down Nozzles, injector stacks down to 2 and 3/8 inch. Wing: back to the curved wing but only 3 inches thick, and or take the bottom off the wing all together. That is where the down force is made.

Here's something to think about ,if you wanna see cars race with those rules and speeds ,,go watch 305's ,, now if you wanna watch real sprintcars put dished wings with a 1" wicker bill and real tires like we ran in the mid 90's not the Crap were running now

It's been done a long time ago, maybe you've heard of it. It's called >>non-wing<< sprint car racing. Myself, I prefer the winged version.

There you go again, bad mouthing the afffordable classes. Next time you have a little free time, look up the results from Knoxville. 305 quick time was less than 1 second off of 360 quick time. Before you go mouthing about "that's a whole second off", it wasn't too long ago that people were amazed by how the 360's were less than a second off of the 410's. So don't go changing your minds now.....
While you are at it, since the affordable classes are a waste, why don't you go buy a new 360 and bring it to the track to give away to 1 lucky 305 racer? Better make it 2 motors, a good 360 will only make it about 10-12 races before a rebuild, they will need 2 to finish out the year......Please post pictures of the lucky racer recieving his new motors!!!

Get the rule book out from 1985. That will show you some unhooked race cars.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

The topic isn't about racing cheap Chinese Crap or cost of racing its about unhooking the cars and the cars aren't all that locked down the tires were running now are junk compared to the tires we raced 15 years ago there so hard were running the same rears 3 or 4 nights unless you blister them cause the sidewalls are so stiff you can't get into the track without running 975's ,,,
