Open Wheel Fans: Read and THINK about this very carefully..................
Since the demise of the Tulsa Speedway and lately, with the closing of State Fair Speedway, open wheel fans have had rare opportunities to witness an "all open wheel program" that included sprint cars on the docket.
Creek County Speedway has a special coming up this Saturday night that open wheel fans MUST come out and support. Jackie Green
has booked an all open wheel program called the “Dylan Koyn
Open Wheel Spectacular”.
Dylan is a 15 year old that has a medical
condition and the night’s activities are devoted to helping this young
man and his family. The program will
consist of Champ Sprints, E-Sprints, Injected Sprints and the SOWS
Midgets with over $20,000 in prize money up for grabs for the racers.
Smiley Sitton, of Smiley’s Outlaw Driving School will be on hand
with his two-seated 410 Sprint Car. One ride will be drawn from a
General Admission ticket, one ride will be raffled and one ride will be
auctioned off by Smiley’s Pit Crew to the highest bidder. All proceeds
will go to the Koyn family. Also, race fans will be able to purchase
souvenirs from Smiley’ T-shirt trailer with part of the proceeds
going to aide the family.
The SOWS midgets offer a $1,000 to win purse PLUS if there is an 18 car plus main event field, a driver may elect to start at the tail and if that driver wins, the purse is doubled to $2,000 to win! There are reports that California's Danny Stratton will be competing. Stratton is a USAC feature winner multiple times over.
The KEY reason why fans need to pack Creek County Speedway Saturday is......................
The very success of this event will not only give Jackie Green (track promoter) the urge to do more of the same, but ALL other track promoters in the area are watching with great interest as well. If Creek County is successful, that will get the attention of the other promoters to possibly book similar events.
