Her response on the Creek County big show next Saturday was right on. All the tracks need your support in order to survive.

Just this past week, SIX tracks closed after many years of hosting races on a weekly basis and some rather close: Pike County Speedway (Magnolia, MS) and Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, LA) are two of the closest too this area.

People had bitched about Tulsa Speedway and then it had closed and there had always seemed like problems here at Fairgrounds Speedway and it closed. There are always going to be problems at race tracks and there always had been so get used too it and support any and all tracks.

Take somebody with you when you go. If they talk about going out partying, tell them you will buy them a couple beers at the race track and bring them along. They want to go girl or boy looking well take them to the dirt track as they are there.

But please, stop the hating and the bitching and the lack of support and get out and support our tracks before we are faced with more track closings, these coming in our home state.

I really wish that I had been around in the days were you would have 8,000 or more fans in the stands. And a great car count every Saturday/Friday nite. It must have been great to be around. As a "rookie" I look at the grandstands and I am concerned that we are loosing so many fans. The local papers no longer advertise the race tracks, the media today are more interested in the choas and drama. It seems the only outlet the racers and race fans have are these message boards on the internet and the tracks websites. I've thoroughly enjoyed every race I've been to in my short time and I am very grateful to being introduced to the sport. And I would love to see MORE, a lot more.

Instead of talking about the good ole days and missing the closed tracks, lets promote the existing tracks, get the word out there. I think its Outlaw last nite that was letting school students in free, I mean what a great idea, get them introduced to the races while they are impressionable. I go to PCR sometimes and its great to see the up and coming racers out there.

This is my two cents worth for what it is worth. Thank you David.
