Just wondering, anyone been to Jetmore? Is the track worth driving up for the 2 day ASCS show? Looks like there should be a good car count due to the ASCS/NCRA event, just wondering if anyobne else is kicking the idea around besides me. Thanks

we would go. Really enjoyed the venture to the first and only 3/8ths Nationals at Dodge City and 2009's Steve King Memorial at Jetmore.

Can't say I'm big on Dodge as a town - doubt much has changed there in a century - just a little more law and pavement, but its still covered in and smells like shit all the time lol.

But I do like the dirt tracks in the area. Both of them are excellent venues. Be a great show but I have ascs2 obligations at Port City Raceway that weekend - and as much as I like those tracks - PCR is my favorite. love that lil joint!

best i can do is look forward to results. Hell, I'd also like to see the Race4Life too - but.....its Memorial Day Weekend - which means about half a dozen shows I would like to see but only one I can. Wish it could all be spread out lol

ah - but to answer your question.....

YES. it is worth the drive. The facility sits at an old airport at an extremely peculiar spot - yet with planted farmland right off the backstraight. However, the facility is top notch in both stands and concession - the only thing thats not that great is the parking lot. It's a lot like Outlaw's parking lot - that choking chalk dust stuff. But one should not care about such things.....you're in the middle of nowhere - LITERALLY - so you will smack a ton of bugs on the way back to Dodge anyway lol.

Yeah man it will be a trip worth making for a lot of reasons. If some National Tour guys go - it will be even better. The trip we made in 09 was all sprints - the support class was URSS by invitation only - and man it was great. the top 5-6 cars were constantly dicing in and out of each other - and I was suprised that they were as fast as they were. It was and still is only the 2nd time to see 305's tho - the first time I saw them was SST at Grayson County in Sherman/Dennison Texas - and it was completely worthless. But even they seem to have gotten faster (pending track surfaces of course lol).

Again tho - if you can afford it - hell yea GO. it should be a good show. If you dont go though - ascs2 at Port City will be high quality too wink

Dodge ain't that bad. I go out there every summer for at least one race and you will definitely get a whiff of the meat packing plants in some places, but it doesn't cover the town. Otherwise, it's a lot like small towns all over Kansas and Oklahoma, except that it has a ridiculously nice racing facility. I haven't been to Jetmore's track, but have never talked to anyone who disliked it. Here is a photo gallery of the track. I think the same website also has some video.

Jetmore is a very nice facility - in the middle of nowhere literally. Once you get north of Dodge City, you may think you are going forever but you will run across it on the right side of the road.

Plenty of seating and plenty of paved pit area and you know it will be big as it is the Steve King Memorial and will be the sandwich of a four race swing for the NCRA guys. The NCRA will be at RPM Speedway in Hays, Kansas on Friday night before the Saturday and Sunday night Great American Dirt Track appearance. Make it another night of racing as alot of those guys will be at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas on Memorial Day Monday night to wrap up the weekend.

The ASCS National tour is off that weekend and with both nights at Jetmore paying $3000 to win well.....
