I would take a 360 sprint car on any dirt track, any day, over anything at Talladega

I'd rather look at a 360 sprint car parked in a garage than anything at Talladega.

A bare Triple X with no engine sitting in the weeds is more interesting than the lunacy called NASCAR. 177 at Talledaga is like 77 at Eldora.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Bill Elliott set the track record at Talledega in 1987 at 212 mph. Mark Martin won the race in 1997 with an average speed of 188. What's to get excited about when the pole for the Aaron's 499 was only 178 mph.

i know, it looks like they are on a parade lap. the MSA 360's at Dodge County are really lame too. after the 410's get off the track and they come out, it's back to the car for more beer and a piss. The IRA tries to hype it up as an "all-sprint" show. it's not good. cannot believe im saying this, but i wish they had the modifieds or hobby stocks instead.

these aren't 360's like you see on Versus. these are more like maybe 305's or possibly mini-sprints.

I will grant you that anytime you have a 410 show they should not have a Sprint car support class. When the Outlaws ran at Burlington 2 years ago it made our 305s look like we were pushing them with golf carts. Stock cars make a great support class for 410s because it makes for a great time to go get refreshments without missing anything exciting on the track. I have never seen an MSA race at Dodge County, but I have been to several at other tracks across Wisconsin, and I have yet to be bored by them. And what or where is Talladega???? LOL

Yogi Berra the catcher for the NY Yankees said... "when you arrive at a fork in the road, take it", and "You've got to be very careful if you don't know where you are going, because you might not get there".
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Using the word lamer!!
|
Lamer is a jargon or slang name originally applied in cracker and phreaker culture to someone who didn't really understand what he or she was doing. Today it is also loosely applied by IRC, BBS, and online gaming users to anyone perceived to be contemptible. In general, the term has come to describe someone who is intentionally ignorant of how things work.
The term is derived from lame. A lamer is widely understood to be the antithesis of a hacker. While a hacker strives to understand the mechanisms behind what he or she uses, even when such extended knowledge would have no practical value, a lamer only cares to learn the bare minimum necessary to operate the device in the way originally intended. Thus, a lamer is usually indistinguishable from someone who is too lame to understand why something works even if they wanted to. A lamer's attitude is summed up by the phrase, "I don't care how it works, just that it does".
The usual definition of a lamer is someone who acts lame. That could be using tactics that are generally accepted as overpowered, "camping" (another gamer term) which means lying in wait all the time without necessarily accomplishing anything useful, jumping around with no purpose. In fact, almost all negative gaming terms fit under the term lamer; the exceptions are terms that apply to newcomers or players who are bad at playing.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.

Tag team racing at Talladega. Drivers talking to each other during the race. Teamwork among drivers. Not being able to be competitive without someone pushing you. This is beyond lame, it's just totally unwatchable!
