Video of Beau Gastineau 51 - Creek County Speedway, Kelleyville, OK - Sprint Car 'B' Feature

Successful Shakedown for Beau “The Show”

Beau Gastineau took his Gastineau Racing #51 machine to Creek County Speedway, near Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Saturday night April 9th to prepare himself as he begins his second year in the seat of a sprint car. The goal for the evening was to make sure everything was working on the car and get some laps, and get some laps is what he got, as he got all the laps he could possibly receive. Starting seventh in his heat race, Beau was able to move up to forth and into a transfer position where he stayed the entire race until the last corner of the last lap, where the young driver made an error and gave up the transfer at the stripe forcing him to run the 'B' feature.

Beau would start the 'B' feature outside the front row, and would take the lead in turn one never looking back winning the race. Transferring to the 'A' feature Beau would start thirteenth and would make the bottom of the track work on the slick racing surface. He worked his way up to the front on the bottom passing cars and being able to avoid all the trouble ahead of him finishing fourth behind veteran drivers Jamie Passmore, Kevin Cummings, and Danny Smith. The night was deemed a success as Beau logged forty laps of racing and no problems occurring with the 51 machine.

Next up for Beau and Gastineau Racing is the Oil Capital Racing Series “OCRS” opener at the Lawton Speedway in Lawton, Oklahoma Saturday April 16th as the team begins their season on the road hoping to run the full OCRS schedule.

Beau would like to thank his family, crew, and sponsors for all their help: Shell Rapid Lube, Messmer Racing, Allen Competition Engines, Exterior Specialties, Outlaw Wings, Goodyear Racing Tires, Metal Supermarket, Red Rock Racing Fuels, Superior Finish Powder Coating, Napa Auto Parts, Whit’s Lawn Care, Elwood Brothers Rods & Customs
