There are two ways to leave Royal Purple Raceway next weekend (Feb 17-19) with $1000 or more and up to 24 drivers (at least) can do it too!Both require the purchase of a $150 regional USMTS license and you need to make the first two A mains on Thursday and Friday. They pay $300 to start if you have a license.
The first way is to go ahead and make that 3rd A-main too. It's $400 to start on Saturday for licensed drivers.
The second way is to make the first two A mains and then be in the top ten in points at the end of the second race. On the third night, the USMTS Top Dog Bonus goes into effect which means you get $400 whether you make that third A-main or not. Of course, we need to have weather that allows all three shows to get completed. We got it last year!
Early entry is $90 with a license and $100 without for Thursday and Friday. Late entry is $110 for Thursday and Friday. So enter now (see www.USMTS.com for early entry) and save up to $20 on Thursday's entry fee. Early entries must be received or postmarked by Feb 12th. Licensed drivers are guaranteed $80 back and non-licensed get $60 back. You have up to 30 minutes after the finish of the USMTS A-main to enter the next event at the early entry fee rates. If you didn't make the A on Thursday and you got a license, you can 'let it ride' - let 'em keep the non-qualifier money and throw in an extra $10 as your entry fee for Friday night. If it happens again, you can give $20 more the next night and you're in for Saturday. So, if you race all 3 nights and don't make the As but keep entering, it washes down to a $120 entry fee and you get $100 back at the end of the third night -- again -- that's WITH a license!
Early entry is $100 with a license and $110 without for Saturday. Late entry is $125 for Saturday. Licensed drivers get $100 back and non-licensed get $80 back. Pit passes on Thursday & Friday are $30. Pit pass on Saturday is $35.
Practice is THIS WEDNESDAY from 6 to 10. $20 pit pass. Only night for hot laps.
