The 12th Annual GRP Racing Trivia Contest will get underway at the mythical MDTR Speedway next Saturday, January 22 when contest flagman Stan M gets it uploaded and throws the green flag on the competition. The contest will run through midnight on Saturday, January 29. There will be three divisions in the contest this year, the sprint cars, late models and modifieds. I only had time to work on three divisions, but contestants may find a question or photo snuck into one of the divisions from a different class that may by somewhat related. Tune up your "engines" and get ready to have some fun at this annual mid-winter contest hosted for the 12th year by Stan's Minnesota Dirt Track Racing website with updated posts on both the 20/20 Racing Page and MDTR message board throughout the last full week in January.

Early news just in from last year's and multi-time sprint car division champion Ron Haugstad...

"I will be curious to see who will win in the Sprint car class now that last years sprint winner has retired from that divison. Will be back in a year or 2 & participate in the Late Model/Modified divisions."

Ron H.

Will another former champion repeat or will the sprint car division have a brand new champion in 2011?

An announcement will be made when the contest has been posted on my website. You go to the pages for the divisions you want to submit an entry for, answer the questions, ID the photos and email your answers to GRP. Just follow the posts on the board to see how things are progressing and it's pretty much self explanitory.

Hey Stan,

You got plenty of Miller Lite stocked up for the contest? Les should be able to spell you for a lap (day) or two in the flagstand, so you can head to the concession stand and tip a couple back with Keith and Sally. Just watch out for the nachos this year, as I heard they pack a punch. Terry tested the bleachers already and pronounced them safe. Had the Swampman out working the track during the past several days. Chuck is ready with his push truck and the water truck. I heard Brian Madsen was gonna make a few laps in the water truck again, just to see if he can keep from getting it stuck. Brian did not fair well with his last water truck outing. Got Todd Narveson ready to announce one day. Zimmy will be there with his Monster Zoom. Lucky Lenny will hotlap but not race. Wes is looking for a parking spot already. And life goes on as usual in the mystical world of the MDTR Speedway with the 12th Annual contest slated to get underway soon!
