I'm reading the I-70 video thread and am amazed how few people know that by coping the URL of any youtube video from the youtube site and pasting it at www.savevid.com you can save it on your PC. Simple, amazing and FREE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Im watching 1982 on my hdtv right now
More weight, more regulation, more similarity in the
cars.... that will ensure plenty of thrills for years
to come. Only the most average talent behind the
wheel will be needed with such awesome equipment on
the track!

See I have no control over this. I can't keep anyone from doing it.
Am I going to try it too? Yup.
Thanks Captain.

One could even get them all together without the annoying breaks between the vids, and enjoy it more. Burn off a dvd to take to your old Dad who hates computers.

Guess I am going to have to have one of my teenage kids show me how to do this as I am computer illeterate. That way Brian can save time by not helping me out on the videos.
Brian, email me an update on what you have received. Next time I see you I think I will give you either more 1984 NCRA champ car videos or the 1984 and 1985 USAC-NCRA challenge races.

David & Brian, Do either of you (or Shane) have any videos from Tulsa Speedway (big track) from 1979 to around 1982? Specifically the Modifieds (Supers with the 6 cylinders)?

Those are the first rule around here.
Finding video of those cars is why the youtube account is called 'vintagesupermodified'.
We all enjoy this other stuff too, but those videos are the elite ones to me.
as soon as I find them I post them. They have turned out to be the hardest to get.
NCRA 6 cylinder /supermodifieds are my personal first love. Will always be.

I do have a hint of more early 70's Tulsa fairgrounds video, and am quietly devising a plan as to whom to get in touch with.

Hawker,
There was a TV show in 81 I think called Turn 5 - it aired on Channel 41 in Tulsa. Mostly it was highlights of the previous weeks races, and interviews, etc.... I think it was only one that year, but it should have some good video of the modifieds. My mom probably has most of those shows on VHS, I will have to check with her. My brother Roy ran a Modified starting in 80, I started in 86.
