What are the thought's of all of you Owner's, Driver's, PAS Staff, Official's, and Fan's ? Can a Chase/Countdown format work to a point where it would get team's and fan's fired up during the end of season race's ? Rerack the top 10 giving bonus pts. for # of win's up to that point. There would need to be some kind of reward to "local" team's though so that say DG racing who finished 10th this year can't come and "steal" the title. Fire away with all your yay's and nay's of this subject.

You have GOT to be kidding!! Why in the world would you want to F*#k up Sprint Car points like they have in NASCRAP & NHRA?? We've got enough problems in the sport without trying to emulate whats turned into the most boring professional touring series on earth? (nascar)

Put down & back away from the crack pipe....LOL!!

Presuming USAC/CRA returns to the PAS in 2011, I don't think there is a chance in hell of changing the format. However, there is a way to spice it up for the locals. (drivers & fans) A couple years ago when the fans were trying to get some money to the small budget and less fortunate teams, PAS and friends came up with a track championship plan. It not only rewarded the winner, but also passed $ back to the Top B main cars. If there was a track championship in place I think you would see the top drivers and many others never miss a race at the PAS. Yes, it would take a nice purse to get everyones interest. We raised 4 or 5 thousand last time without trying that hard. I think that could be tripled or more with work. You asked for a solution to boring year ends. This is mine. Maybe you could even have a 410 and a 360 track champion ?

I think the PAS needs to figure out how to pay their competitors from races that have been run already before anyone even needs to worry about next year...

Kinda the response I expected. Not complaining, just pointing out a major problem out there right now, that for some reason is just getting put aside. Feel free to call a local and ask if they have got paid. Or even call USAC, they will tell you the same thing, "Perris has not paid the purse." This goes back to October..

Im 11th in points, 4 points out of the top ten. This harebrained chase thing steps in suddenly im 400 points out of the top ten. Enough races left in the season that had some idiot not changed and added points to some cars that I could have made it to the top five. Guess I will try next year... Cars parked till the new season when I have a chance to become champion or at least finish inside the top 10 after supporting all the races and having some bad luck this season.

Worst idea ever.

I would only add every known politically incorrect adjective I could find to reinforce your closing statement!!!!!!

I Went to the USAC office friday, spoke with the lady that is in charge of writing the checks, (all the higher ups were at PRI) and I was told, "we still havent received a check from them, and Kevin wont let me payout untill then." I called the PAS Friday afternoon, and was told, "uh, yeah, I think they went out today." I tried to call one of the employees at the PAS on their personal phone Saturday, with no return call. Tried to get ahold of Kevin Miller today, but he wont be in the office till Thursday, and Jason McCord was not sure where they were with the situation. There is some shady stuff going on right now, and there is a standoff going on, and it is amazing that it is being kept so quiet. Its funny in the pits at the PAS in May, and in October, I talked to locals who complained about not being paid for weeks, or months at a time, but for some reason they just "deal with it." Maybe its just extra cash they dont depend on anyways? Although it may not be the smartest decesion to try and race for a living, the guys that do, depend on that money, and alot of the drivers and owners that traveled out there from the midwest depend on that money being there when they get home to pay for that trip. I dont know who is responsible, the track, the association, or both, but they all got mine and your money up front that day for pit passes, entries, grandstand admission, food, etc.. Its been 7 weeks since our first race in our west coast trip and am still waiting on a check. How excited would you be if your company was 7 weeks behind on your paycheck? Just sayin... Im sure there are gonna be people that will try and badmouth me or say im bitching, and I dont care, judge me however you want, I am saying the same thing as the vast majority of the competitors do behind closed doors, but aparently they just dont wanna rock the boat.

You must know I was laughing at Rob's going back and forth like a windshield wiper, and not the situation.

The fact is most of us know that Casey wouldn't have put it out there for a response the first time, unless it was true.
