Each night features a $1500 to win/$125 to start USRA/USMTS-type Open Wheel Modified A-main! Scheduled to start in Paris, Texas and end at Cowtown Speedway in Fort Worth!!!

Following the success of the inaugural 2010 SMP Sooner Speedweek which averaged 42 Modifieds for 5 straight nights in Oklahoma and extreme southeast Kansas, Southern Modified Promotions president Michael Luna announced a short time ago an expanded version for SMP Sooner Speedweek II set for mid-July 2011.

Now comes his newest promotion: The inaugural SMP Longhorn Speedweek!

Minimum of 6 races in 7 nights starting right after the 6th annual Doug Murphrey Memorial at Ark-La-Tex Speedway on June 3rd and 4th.

All of these races are in the great state of Texas of course!!!

Sunday, June 5th - Paris Raceway Park, Paris
*Make-up date, Sunday, June 12th

Monday, June 6th - Rose Bowl Speedway, Tyler

Tuesday, June 7th - TBA

Wednesday, June 8th - TBA

Thursday, June 9th - 85 Speedway, Ennis

Friday, June 10th - RPM Speedway, Crandall

Saturday, June 11th - Cowtown Speedway, Fort Worth

Points awards and contingencies TBA.

*The rain date for the Doug Murphrey Memorial is Sunday, June 5th. Should that race need that rain date or if Paris Raceway Park gets rained out on the 5th, Paris Raceway Park will race on Sunday, June 12th.

We are talking to a couple of tracks about the TBAs and plan on filling one, if not both of those dates. Get that vacation requested now guys!!!

Grand Prairie will race the Tuesday night. It appears we have a good shot at getting Wednesday booked too!
