Congrats to Jason Meyers on his first World of Outlaw title championship and the 1st for a California driver! I have enjoyed watching him race since he started driving locally with the GSC and he has always been friendly to talk to with my family. He has been close to winning soo many years and finally this is his year. I was very happy to congradulate him after he won the Gold Cup! I think we should all be proud that one of our own has won such a big honor and finally stopped Schatz's streak of winning the last 4 chapionships! Way to go Jason and thanks for showing that our California sprint car driver could get it done!
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

Other California drivers seem to get a lot more attention than Jason Meyers. But none of the others has achieved what Hotfoot just did. Congrats to Meyers and the entire 14 team. It took a helluva lot of determination and hard work to become WoO champions.

yeah - carwash. The guy who was so sure his guy was gonna take the title he wouldn't take a $100 2 to 1 odds bet. I guess getting those pre-mature tatoos made him a little skittish.

Premature??? What was it Mike, about eight years?
That's called keeping the faith.
Hopefully that will work with the Raiders soon... no tats though.

Keeping the faith? Even the least delusional Raiders fan (and there ain't that many left) would have taken my bet. In my bet the Raiders fan would have had two chances to win: If they took the division championship - they won. If they won the Super Bowl - they won. The only way I would have won (to make an analogy) is if my team won THE super bowl (Schatz winning the WoO championship). If neither guy's guy won nobody lost anything - neither guy lost anything. A NO brainer $100 bet. And he PASSED on it. Just sayin'...................For the record the Raiders have a chance at being great some day. It involves Al Davis finally croaking but they do have a chance.........

You know nothing of Al Davis... Only what someone feeds you.

Top, the tat came in 2001, shortly after Jason scored his first WoO A main win.

Cool tattoo would be you and Jason holding the trophy or wait until next year and you BOTH could be holding a trophy!

Refreshing to see someone knows the truth.... Most know nothing of Al.
I've studied him a bit and he's one of the most interesting people I've ever encountered. His history is very interesting, quite an accomplished and self made man.
Chris, guess I didn't get offered that bet.
