A reality check for Cubic (or as we like to call it ... "facts" ).

Montieth won 9 races this year (which I believe is more than last year). He is the 2010 Lincoln points champion, and finished second in points at the Grove. He won the 2010 Port Royal Tuscarora 50. Arguably, as good a season as last year.

The team is already signed up for next year to run XXX chassis again. His car will also be on display in our booth at IMIS. Hardly sounds like a team that was "faster in a 100 race old Maxim" or not satisfied.

Next Cubic will somehow rationalize that Haud winning 5 Outlaw races in 2010 was his worst year ever (even though the R19 team won no races in 2009). Not to mention that Doug Esh also picked up a 6th WoO win for the team in his short stint subbing for Haud.

Glad to hear you think they are as fast as a 100 race old Maxim. The only reason they are running them is because they are free. Anyone who is buying them is only doing so because they are half price. The reason they are half price is $2/hr commi labor. Equation is simple.

I will take it that you know you are wrong since you ignore all the simple questions you are given. You are only reapeating 1 statement, is that the only fact you have? Do you know for a fact that the R19 does get them for free? Also, I bought my XXX at full price, where is the half price store you are talking about? I don't really care why they are cheaper, they just are. You make it sound like you buy the highest price item everytime you buy something, because that is more American? I bet you shop at Dollar General and Walmart just like the rest of us. But that is different, right?

Maybe you should learn how to set up your car to reverse such.

O I dont know why anyone would want to own a chinatown chassis. You dont go in to Harbor Freight expecting to find the same quality of tools as you would Sears. Sure you will pay less and there tools break but hey its just a wrench. Now lets put that same thought in to a chassis that is suppose to help you in a crash.

I want to own mine because I win races with it.

I had mine upside down this year, didn't get hurt, guess it was a fluke? I would like to see the list of drivers that have been hurt in a XXX chassis. I can name a bunch off the top of my head that have been hurt in the big 3. So, lets hear it.......

Sears? Seriously?

Where else can you buy tools, a suit, and get your oil changed?!?!?

Perfect example of a what many companies in this industry do as well. The consumer does not research, and incorrectly relies on company marketing.

Craftsman tools came under fire in 2004 in a lawsuit accusing Sears of false advertising and consumer fraud for questionable use of the "Made in USA" slogan. While most Craftsman hand tools are manufactured in the U.S., many power tools and accessories are manufactured overseas, sometimes with the final assembly taking place in the U.S.

The suit alleges that promotions in ads, the website, on signs and labels claiming that Craftsman is "Made in the USA" led consumers to purchase the tools out of a sense of patriotism. Consumers were also led to believe that Craftsman is of high quality because it is "Made in the USA."

Pictures attached to the complaint show metal parts from Austria, Denmark, China, India and Mexico on Craftsman tools labeled as "Made in the USA."

Mr. Zero:

Just last week I went to WalMart and, in 55 minutes, purchased a new tool cabinet, all wrenches and other hand-held working devices, got two suits with all the "trimmings" including alterations, new tires and oil/filter and all this for only $399.99.

What a deal THAT is what you call ONE-STOP shopping! Wink

i hate to burst your bubble, but those sears tools you refer to are increasingly made...in china. craftsman power tools are made in china and more and more craftsman hand tools are as well. oops, i didn't see the post by mark above stating the craftsman lawsuit. no one is forcing anyone to buy triple x stuff. it is still a free country with different options available. if maxim could get stuff from triple x with out the triple x logo stamped on it, believe me they would sell it to you with the maxim logo on it in a heartbeat. the market will take care of itself if allowed to. if people aren't happy with something or it proves to be a problem to them or too inferior for some reason, they will move away from it. no matter where it comes from. you people won't have to try to convince them something is bad because you just don't like it.

Wow, since when did standing up for American made products make someone the target for derision?

They're just p!ssed because they already have a commi sh!tbox sitting in their garage. I'd be upset too if I were them.

I'm generally a pissed off person. I just don't get why you have such a hardon for other people's stuff when you have nothing invested in things that don't belong to you. Oh that's right, you are just a keyboard commando whose only mission in life is to try to get other people to think your point of view is the only one that matters. So just sit back and type on your computer that was most certainly not made in the United States and talk shit about other products you claim are not made here either. Before anyone tries to call me the same as you, my name is Cris Shreve.

You guys can waffle about the sears comment. And yes I have done my research. Yes I have seen drivers hurt in xxx cars. For someone to say they will stick with a xxx cause its the chassis that wins really has no clue anyways about what sets xxx, maxim, eagle, wolfweld, avenger, buckley, bullet or any other chassis apart so its a useless case. Have fun with your chinatown chassis hope it doesnt come back to bite you in the rear.

I don't aim to please.
I aim to hit the target.

I love sprint car racing? I love America?

As far as I can tell, we're both in agreement...

We're both upset you own one.

Me, because you sold out...

You, because you have to try to justify it.

You have seen them hurt BECAUSE they were in a XXX car? Or because the wreck was bad enough it wouldn't have mattered the manufacturer? That means there have been no injuries in the big 3....

Please explain the comment "they will stick with a xxx cause its the chassis that wins really has no clue anyways". I have been a sprintcar driver since 1999, I have no clue? No, I am not Steve Kinser, but I do have a clue. I know what I have raced and I know which ones worked the best. As of today, the XXX has definitely been the easiest to setup and run up front with.

Since I am clueless, what sets apart all the chassis you mentioned from a XXX?

Just to make it clear (so no one is clueless), I am not trying to argue, I am just trying to figure out how someone who doesn't know me can call me clueless with anything to back it up? I feel like I have been fair in my statements, I didn't go back and read them all, but I don't remember getting out of line in any of them. I am just looking to find the reasons people are putting XXX down, I find it hard to believe that a place of manufacture has anything to do with these opinions. The only people that put them down are the people who have never been in one.

You are 33.33% right. I have a Chevy truck, Lincoln(Ford) car, and a Mitsubishi car. Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Mitsu gets better gas mileage, has caused the least problems, has the most miles, and cost the least money. Ford is by far the worst in all categories. But that is just my 3 cars......

Like countless others have asked, what brand computer are you using? Phone? How about where your wallet was made? The keys that start your American made vehicle (which most of the parts that put it together are made outside of the US)? Easy on who you are calling a sellout.

Not trying to fight, just asking a question that has gone unanswered so many times before.......

OK, you got me wondering with that one. Just to put more point to this topic, I checked out my VIN numbers to find out where my 3 were made. Guess what, Chevy-US, Lincoln(Ford)-US, and the Mitsu - drum roll please........US

So explain that one cubicdollars, even your commie junk is made in the US, who would have thought?

Also, I want to thank 21wforacer for trying to argue with me through email so he wouldn't get hammered by his remarks on the forum. I did find out why I am clueless though, I haven't been to the XXX shop in Washington. Yep, a shop tour is what it takes to know the right and wrong with a sprintcar. WAIT....new email!!!!

Now I am clueless because we run a 305 along with our 360. That is a whole different topic, the diehard 410 guys better give in to the fact that 305's are going to be really popular in the future. You know why? They are cheaper, huh, kind of follows a pattern there doesn't it? Cheaper motors are becoming popular, cheaper cars are becoming popular. But I bet somehow cubicdollars can make a 305 "commie junk" too. But before he tries, my block is stamped GM.

Can I go out on a limb and say that all the people who say "commie junk", are the same people that believe that politicians tell the truth?

What do I have to justify to you or anyone else? Keep typing on your foreign made computer and watching your television that was not made here either. Until you actually practice what you are attempting to preach, leave me and others out of your simple life. Have a wonderful day.

Have fun playing with your Chinese junk. People are usually only defensive for one reason. Hope you get what you paid for.
