Just an FYI...............No decisions have been made on who is going where or who is in the 83 car or the junior car or a new team. Didn't hear anything about Roth giving Tim have the first half of the season to win 5 WOO races or anything else.....Last word that I got on the situation is that...............Tim is racing the STN for Rilat and will be at the Western World in the 83 car......So, any races left this season in this area, Tim will be in the car............FYI
.Also in Tim's first 4 years of racing there was way more competition out here on the west coast. I am not taking anything from anyone but, in my opinion, when the guy leading the points leaves you kind of get it handed to you. Larson did a good job. So, when there is something worth talking about as far as Tim and Roth and the ride and all that BS, you will know ....

Did you hear Big Wiener said it was a watered down GSC series. Then if that is the case you and Big Wiener are saying the races TK won out here were handed to him also. I think just having Allard here doesnt make it a more competitive series, it just adds one more driver that is good. What did TK do at the Gold Cup too? Not to take anything away from TK because I think he is the best driver out here. He may tear up more stuff than other drivers but he still is the best. Larson did an excellent job against the WoO for only running with them a few times in his 4 years and that was not handed to him. He finished better than Tarlton and TK. WoO is not watered down and you didnt hear Big Wiener comment on that.
I wish TK the best of luck next year finding a good ride because we need him out on the track. He's the man that fans want to see.

Big wiener may I ask you what did TK do the first 4 years in a sprint car? TK is one of my favorite driver, I want to see him win as much as you do. I'm a big Kaedings fan from Howard's days. When Larson is in his late 20s, early 30s, then compare him to TKs results. They are both good drivers.
You ask how many times Larson finished ahead of Tarlton? The World of Outlaws is one of the toughest group of drivers to compete with. You call the GSC a watered down series. Would call the WoO a watered down series? Let’s compare WoO results since this is not a watered down series: Tarlton vs Larson Gold Cup.
THURSDAY: 52 CARS Larson came out 30th qualified: 25th - 11.397 Tarlton came out 46th qualified: 21st - 11.367
Heat: Larson finished 4th Tarlton finished 5th
Main events: Tarlton in the B-main finished 4th transferred to A-main
Amain Finish: Larson 10th Tarlton 21st
FRIDAY: 49 CARS Tarlton came out 6th qualified: 29th - 11.809 Larson came out 7th qualified: 7th - 11.565
HEATS: Larson 3rd Tarlton 6th
MAINS B Main: Tarlton 18th A-Main: Larson 9th
SATURDAY: Tarlton B main 1: 5th, A-main 21st Larson A-main 6th
Looks like the only time Tarlton finished ahead of Larson is Thursday qualifying. Maybe Tarlton is jealous cause he is faster in a non-watered down series! maybe you are jealous he’s faster! Big Wiener, is Tarlton the Champion of the watered down series at Chowchilla Speedway? I thought I heard him saying he was the champion at Chowchilla can you post on that please. GO TK!!! hope you are in the 83 car next year.

why are you cherry picking one race? larson and tarlton raced a whole season together at ocean speedway. the trophy cup was a 360 show and ocean is the most competitive 360 series around the area. so you could say that is a good yard stick.
there were 14 360 races run at ocean. tarlton and larson each finished in front of the other 7 times. so that is a tie.
tarlton had a 3.85 finishing average and larson had a 5.35 finishing average.
out of 14 races, tarlton was in the top five 11 times, larson eight times.
when they weren't in the top five, tarlton had 2 top ten finishes and one finish outside the top ten at 11th. larson had 3 top ten finishes outside the top five with 3 more outside the top ten of 11th, 14th and 18th.
tarlton had 4 wins and larson 3 wins.
by the way, the trophy cup results show tarlton 5th and larson 6th.
tarlton is on his second championship in a row at ocean and did win the watered 360 championship at hanford so that ties larsons watered down GSC championship. if tarlton did win the watered down chowchilla championship that makes it two watered down championships to one this year in favor of tarlton.
so who is out running who, in a non-watered down series, or a watered down series?
tarlton is a verteran driver with multiple championships at multiple tracks. larson is waiting for his voice to change.
tarlton operates a multi-million dollar business. does larson even get an allowance?
i hardly think tarlton is jealous of anyone, especially larson.
i think both drivers are good, so i am not trying to belittle larson, he has done great and i hope he has a great future ahead in racing. still for you to slam tarlton like you did, for no reason, and with no facts to back it up, makes you a COCKSUCKER. pardon my french.

Sorry if you thought it was cherry picking. I wasn't. I was looking for a race that wasn't watered down as Big Wiener calls it. So I picked the toughest series going because the both raced it. Tarlton is good, like Allard, BK, TK, Bud, Statler, Furr, Walker, etc, so I'm not taking anything away from Tarlton like Big Wiener is trying to do with Larson. I've been a central valley/bay area fan for a long time. I'm just glad I can still go and watch good competition and watch the young guns vs the veterans.

With your statement using the Gold Cup as the example your stating Larson is Faster then TK as well? Because TK had a horrible 2 days and didn't even race the 3rd night so Larson must be faster then him going with your logic of the Gold Cup.
My question of how many times did Larson beat Tarlton overall this year was simply that overall, not just 1 weekend, but all the Watsonville races, GSC races and any other races they raced against this year. Larson said Tarlton is jealous becaue he is faster then him, my question was is that really true, did Larson beat him more or did Tarlton beat Larson more. So thisbuds4u, seeing that you like to referrence stats, who did better overall vs each other this year Tarlton or Larson?

Who cares what he did against Tommy Tarlton. I think the kid has slightly higher goals then that. Just this year, the 17/18 year old achieved this and more...
2nd at the Johnny Key
4th at the Louie Vermile Classic (non wing USAC/CRA 410's)
6th at the Gold Cup (World of Outlaws)
3rd at the Fall Nationals
1st in the GSC series (410's)
2nd in the Taco/Bravo series (360's)
Calistoga track champion (wing/non wing)
10th at the Chili Bowl (Midgets)
1st at the Tulsa Shootout (Outlaw Karts)
1st at the Super 600 Nationals. (first time in a non wing micro)
1st at the Cotton Classic (410's)
2nd in the Trophy Cup feature (360's)
1st with Big Winners girlfriend (apparently)
The kid is 18. I like his future and enjoyed watching the present.

Ricci when Larson claims Tarlton is just lealous cause he is faster then Tarlton then yeah it does make a difference what he has done vs Tarlton this year. So I asked what are the stats when they have raced vs each other this year, has Larson really been faster than Tarlton or was the kid just talking out of his ass and looking to blame somebody else for him not beating TK yet again this year.

How about this for next year if Larson and Tarlton did a match race . At five diffrent tracks but here is the catch use there cars but same air presure in the tires same wing pitch on top and front wings on both cars . Same setup on both cars etc etc etc . Then the fans choose the setup on the cars . Then we will see who has there stuff together HOW ABOUT THAT .

Do you not understand the part where he is an 18 year old kid? You sound like an immature kid yourself with your persistence that someone put together some head to head stats between the two or how about the time when you took a certain publicist to task for a press release. Do your own homework. In the end it wont matter because Larson will be getting rides at events like the Short Track Nationals, the Chili Bowl, the Knoxville Non Wing Nationals and Tommy Tarlton will be putting on one hell of a show at Ocean Speedway.
What has impressed me most is that he's earning it with his performance on the track. From what I can tell his family is not from money and he's not the son of a former race car champion. He's just a breath of fresh air that I hope will still be racing out here a couple more years before a bigger stage steals him away. He'll continue to mature and handle his podium speeches a little better then he did at Tulare. Someday he may even get away with moving a lapper out of the way like Jac did at the Gold Cup.

I think all of you need to be thankful that we have these drivers whether they run 410s or 360s or what track. We have some of the very best drivers who put on an exciting show whenever they race and you should just sit back and enjoy...quit judging.
Congrats to JA on his Trophy Cup points victory, to TK on the race win, to Kyle on his GSC champsionship and Tommy on the Ocean championship. They are all great and we enjoy racing with them.

Amen Linda!! Plus add your son and a few more. Also we have some great non-wing drivers in this state. We should be grateful(fans) that we have such great diversity in this state when it comes to all forms of sprint-car's and drivers.
Trophy Cup......Best race of the year hands down!

Non-wing! Why that's a nasty word to Mom, Randy. Good post though...

Dosen't every driver,
while standing on the front stretch dripping sweat and trying to catch their breath from a hard fought race....
say things they really don't mean?
Not to big of deal really if you ask me, He was just venting.
I think the fact that the kid was in the battle should tell you something about what he's made of.

My opinion, having guys like TK and Jon Allard at a race definitely does not equate to a water down race. Having a race without them while they are on the road, thats another story. You win 15 races in Calif, and nothing is handed to you. Just means you are the best in the state in my book.

Having 18 year-old Kyle Larsen as the GSC champion is an amazing achievement. Congratulations to him and crew!
