77 is Jason Johnson, I believe Chase Johnson is in a 24 car that tipped over in heat race action.

Tonight will be good. Steve does an excellent job on the track during the 2nd day of a 2 day show and it should be racy all night, since it'll be slicker and not so hooked up early on hopefully.

Here's the night one story from Ron Rodda with the top-10 in points in it:
------------------------
Crockett, Allard Share Opening Night Cup Honors
by Ron Rodda
Tulare, CA…Roger Crockett won the opening night main event of the 17th Annual Trophy Cup, leading all 30 laps, and Jonathan Allard emerged from the evening’s racing with a 14 point lead in the battle for the title.
A 75 car field of winged 360 sprints filled the Tulare Thunderbowl pit area and were led in qualifying by Jayme Barnes as his 13.381 represented a new track record. Barnes was the 62nd car out as the track remained fast throughout the efficiently run qualifying session.
The fastest 48 ran invert six, take 3 heats which saw 9 of the fastest 12 not getting the hoped for direct transfer to the A main. Friday’s C main was for heat finishers 7th and 8th plus the top 2 from each of 3 D mains. Brent Kaeding and Andy Gregg were 4th and 5th in the C and would eventually race their way into the A main.
An very loaded B main moved the top 6 onward and Peter Murphy led with Mason Moore and Evan Suggs in pursuit. By lap 3, 11th starting Kyle Larson was 3rd, then 2nd a lap later, using the top of turn 4 for both passes. Larson then drove around Murphy coming out of turn 2 on lap 6 and led the remaining laps for the win.
Murphy was 2nd ahead of Moore, 20th starting Brent Kaeding, 24th starting Andy Gregg, with Evan Suggs getting the last transfer. Steven Tiner and Shane Golobic tangled on the last turn racing for a transfer spot in the tough race that saw the 3rd through 5th place cars tangle early in the race. Suggs was able to race back into a transfer but Daryn Pittman and Willie Croft came up short.
The night’s finale inverted 12 by points with all B main transfers getting their points back in the lineup. Lucas Wolfe and Crockett had the front row while the top two point cars, J. Allard and Barnes were in row 6. Crockett fell back into 3rd in turn 1 on the first lap, but moved to the top and blasted past the top 2 and led by the backstretch. He led all the way, holding off a furious charge by J. Allard over the last 10 laps. Allard passed Crockett several times around the track, but Crockett was able to come by and lead by the time they crossed the line.
J. Allard have moved into 3rd by lap 15 and took 2nd from Wolfe on the bottom of turn 4 during lap 17. Jason Johnson earned 3rd on lap 20, using the bottom of turn 2 to fill the podium. Brady Bacon was involved in two mishaps as were other top cars entering the main such as Murphy, Moore, and Suggs.
Qualifying was tough for some teams and Johnny Herrera wound in the non-qualifiers and D main group. Defending champion, Tim Kaeding, was only 32nd quick, but raced from 20th to 4th in the A main. Shane Stewart was involved in a heat race crash and done for the night.
Saturday will see another set of heats for the top 48 in points, followed by a series of main events. The A main will start 24 cars and be completely inverted by points and raced over a 50 lap distance.
A main--Roger Crockett, Jonathan Allard, Jason Johnson, Tim Kaeding, Lucas Wolfe, Brent Kaeding, Trey Starks, Mark Dobmeier, Jayme Barnes, Mike Henry, Tommy Tarlton, Chad Hillier, Bud Kaeding, Mason Moore, Stephen Allard, T. J. Smith, Peter Murphy, Justin Sanders, Evan Suggs, Andy Gregg, Matt Sargent, Kyle Hirst, Brady Bacon, Kyle Larson
Points…..1. J. Allard 278 2. Barnes 264 3. Johnson 263 4. Crockett 263 5. Tarlton 258 6. Wolfe 254 7. Starks 252 8. T. Kaeding 246 9. Dobmeier 245 10. Henry 242

Yes I agree, If we could atleast get a full rundown of Qualifying, heats, and mains I could figure out the top 48 myself. Been searching for two hours for the full results.

Not just this deal, but many of the larger non GSC / Civil War events or locally sanctioned are very hard to find full results and have been for some time.
GSC stuff was nearly instantaneous before Handy took over. The archived stuff was amazing as well (but that is all gone now too).
Nothing more than who was fast time and then a listing of Heat Race winners and a Feature run-down is alright by maybe mid-80s standards, but with the technology today, c'mon, Cali-you guys eat, breathe and sleep this internet stuff.
Fluff is cool for PR, but race results could be greatly improved.

Full results are on the Civil War site and were on the GSC site every week. Just have to type in the web address and results are there every week.

Give me a call. Shot all events both days. Great racing. Have many orders already and will have them in the mail no later than wednesday - $25 incl postage. Also have DVD's of prior years if you missed them!
I'm retired from the weekly grind but I've been at EVERY Trophy Cup and will never miss one.

Can't do credit cards anymore and can't even cash a check made to Quality Race Video! Checks must be made out to my name. Thanks

I guess something along the lines of this would be a start to avoid the annual "where are full results..."
Made just by simply putting pen to paper then typed into a MS Word doc for 'puter use. Took all of 20 minutes even with a smoke break.
Someone to fill in the blanks of the missing info~Eckert's OWT search still has lingering ill effects. Thanks.

It takes a lot of time to type in everything...the next time Alan updates there will be a story from night 2 with all main finishes.
Most tracks that use transponders have full results on mylaps very soon after the event is done.
Next will be the article giving top 24 in points and payout.

Who wants 2009 qualifying information? I agree with laudarevsonhunt someone needs to get all the results, qualifying, heats, non qualifying heats, the 3 D's, C, B & A for Friday and a complete list of everything for Saturday including the final points. Hopefully soon it will all be posted.
Congrats to TK on another thrilling win and Jonathan Allard on his winning the overall points battle. He was on a mission and put on an incredible run from 24th. to 4th.
