Reports from Nascar Now were that Juan Pablo Montoya allowed Shane's Dad, Steve fly on his jet from Calif. to Indiana to be w/ Shane. He is in critical Condition in a Terre Haurte Hospital. See the story on Hoseheads Sprint Car Forum for further details.

Reports on Indiana open wheel last night had Shane being airlifted to Indy in a coma. That was a hard hit. Seeing that cage smashed like that is scary.

Broken back and neck. Robin Miller said on Wind Tunnel last night that he is expected to recover.

Even though I already knew what injuries he suffered before watching that video my heart still skipped a beat seeing how he hit. That could have very easily killed him. wow
