As always. I can't imagine anyone calling that race tonight and even come close to Johnny's performance. Great announcer.

Gibson is an outstanding announcer. There has been a ton of great races this year. Wish there was a way we could get highlights of each race. Wake up WoO!

better than "pitter patter let's get at her" the NST had. Johnny does real good. You don't think so just listen to someone else. I have heard the knoxville guys bs while there is racing on the track for Nationals before.

I beg to differ, if you didn't enjoy that race last night and feel as though you were right there watching it then I highly doubt you've been to many, if any, sprint car races! Johnny did an awesome job as usual. Looking forward to listening again tonight.

JG is the best. The U2 song at the end is a nice touch. I enjoy listening to the announcer at Perris too. Perris has a great sound system and they play some good tunes.

I agree, Johnny is the best at calling a night's racing activities. The guy sees everything and sometimes I wish I had an earphone in one ear so that I could hear both the roar of the engines and his voice telling me what happened where I wasn't looking. You need more than one pair of eyes at a sprint car or late model feature race..
But another guy who is fantastic is Chris Stepan who runs FYE Racing promotions. He promoted and did the race call in the booth of the John Seitz Memorial race in Grand Forks,ND last year(Seitz being one of the midwest's top late model drivers for years before his untimely death when at the top of his game--- died in a snowmobile accident I believe). Stepan has a great voice and is on top of it, much like Gibson. He will again be promoting the 92 lap, $9200 to win and $920 to start John Seitz Memorial next week in Grand Forks. Seitz's late model was #92. His introduction of drivers prior to the feature, each standing next to his car shows you his knowledge of each and every driver.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

if by boring you mean he offers more info and and insight per lap than you have the ability to keep up with or comprehend, then you may have a point. i am sick of radio announcers who don't realize the people listening can't see the race. i am sick of them being a lap behind the action and then missing the calls and screaming "oh, oh, did you see that!" or "man what a pass!" thanks JG for being our eyes at the track and bringing us ALL the action. if someone feels they don't like your style they can just turn down the audio and .............oh, wait!
to indy and beyond!!

I could not agree any more. Johnny is the best out there. Period.
Not only is he the best caller in the business, but he knows how to turn the call into a show by enhancing is with the right mix of music and volume levels.
Knoxville really needs to work out a deal to get Johnny freed up to call the Nationals and give that show some atmosphere from the box.
Just seems odd to me that the biggest show on the planet has the best in the business sitting in the stands!
To me, both the Kings Royal and the Ironman 55 were gave you goose bumps leading up the feature race, unfortunately the Nationals in comparison came across as somewhat a little flat.

Thats what you get for not going to the race and seeing it first hand.
The Nationals were anything but flat if 150,000 to win and 9,500 to start didn't get you excited wow
But then if you wasn't there I guess

Johnny Gibson rocks!!! Definitely the best in the business.....who cannot be so excited at the start of the race when the music is playing and he starts....."You asked for the best....you got em four abreast..." Chills and excitement!!!!
Thanks Johnny Gibson for all you do to contribute to the sport!!!!

Tim ____?_ announces at Orange County , they say the announcer at Perris , I haven't heard him yet but I will soon , as I'm going to see one the best races of the year at Perris --Oval Nationals , Bruce Ellis at the Grove . The former announcer at Knoxville not Jack Miller but who writes for magazine Justin Zoch and there are others . Johnny knows racing but is boring and to repetitive along with the boring music he plays , I say make a change or change the format .
As far as fixing I can and you as well sir , as their is allot to fix with the WoO OR WRG , UNFORTUNATELY THEY DON'T LISTEN enough to fans like you and I .
