New O'Reilly Auto Parts Midwest All Star Sprint Series to debut in 2011
CARMARGO, Ill.(8-27-10)By Brian Liskai The future of the OReilly Auto Parts Midwest All Star Sprint Series will experience an exciting change in 2011, including new tracks and an increased purse.
The series, which was created three years ago by Illinois businessman Guy Webb, who owns the OReilly Auto Parts All Star Circuit of Champions Sprint Car Series and the All Star Late Model Series. For 2011, Webb is planning a 12-15 race schedule for tracks in Ohio, Indiana, West Virginia and Kentucky. The feature events will pay $2,500 to win and $225 to start. With the exciting changes a $12,000 points fund will be added to the mix. $3,000 will go to the champion and the points fund will pay back 10 positions.
We are excited to bring 410 winged sprint car racing to tracks that do not run them on a regular basis. We feel this will help grow the sport of sprint car racing in the region which will make our regular All Star series and the tracks that support us stronger, said Webb.
The feedback weve gotten so far from tracks in the region is encouraging. This concept will make sprint car racing stronger as we anticipate the creation of more teams, added Webb.
Current All Star official Kyle Keesy will be the MWAS series director.

His bullshit didnt work here in Missouri and Illinois. Glad he is taking his circus show somewhere else now. Dont fall for, it will grow sprint car racing in these areas. It didnt grow anything around here. It hurt car counts and if a track was running a sprint show that wasnt theirs for a little less money phone calls would be made to drivers tell them not to show up or his purses would then be lowered. So then there would be shows of 8 to 12 sprint cars around here. How is that helping grow 410 sprint car racing? Let the drivers decide if they want to race on their own without making phone calls. Dont get me wrong, I was glad to see the drivers get a little bit of a bigger payout around here but sometimes you have to look beyond the purse and what comes with it.

This series isn't something Guy created, he purchased it. When possible I supported some of the MASS shows the first year of it's "new" existence, until all the BS really came through. All the "new" tracks better take notice and know what they are dealing with before it's too late. I'm glad my northern OH tracks have the FAST series, no need for his BS. He needs to spend more time making his AllStars what they once were instead of this junk the ASCOC has become.

Sounds like a win,win for Ohio and the area near them but Im sure wish The All-Stars would come to Illinos more as its hard for us James gang to travel that much.I hope they sukseed and then start heading back towars central ILL in the next couple years.
