You know if this isn't a case of financial influence we are all really kidding ourselves.
Lets see, who out there likes the GOODYEAR sprint car tire?
Years ago we dreaded big shows where the MONEY teams could afford to put fresh GOODYEARS on for every race and qualifying and hot laps. That was because they did whatever they did and just didn't work after that first real heat cycle.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? I suppose no one out there has noticed an advantage in a fresh tire versus one that has been cycled once or more.
You know GOODYEARS position here could be quite admirable could they simply provide a tire that worked like the HOOSIER did, but lasted even longer. Everyone races on the same tires anyhow, why not make the tire that's second from the soft end or even third, the soft tire??
Just food for thought.

Yet another bashing of Goodyear without any statistical evidence to support your opinion against their tire.

1. Best WOO racing in years, maybe decades
2. Best nationals in years, maybe decades
3. Cars coming from 18th and 23rd (?)to win A main
4. Second to last lap pass to win Kings Royal
5. Second to last lap pass to win Nationals
6. Two of the last 3 races in World of outlaws less than .1 of a second finish
The last thing i want to here about is all of the problems with sprint car racing right now. That will be soley up to the WOO, the drivers, Goodyear, Hoosiers, and all of the other series involved in the decision. i am going to sit back and enjoy the ride.

The part I have nothing stuffed in, hears way more complaints about the GOODYEAR them I ever heard about the Hoosier. Sorry personal experiance there not internet propoganda.

fastrip, from my memory there was just as much bitching when hoosier became a spec tire, statistically I have never read or seen any proof of actual more tire failures than average, double dog dare you to try to show proof

If Hoosier HAD NOT started this tire war by going away with the SC25 like we ran at Farmington,MO and went to 3 different tires for the right rear and making you buy a left also. Goodyear would not have got involved.

Didnt say it couldnt happen on Hoosiers. I am just saying i have no reason to bash anyone. It has been an incredible year of racing for the fans, and the fans are the most important variable in this entire equation. That being said, i am going to enjoy the rest of the WOO points battle, reminisce about the Knoxville nationals, and whatever decisions they make for next year, is up to them. It is entirely possible that the great racing in the WOO could be attributed to the double file restart. I don't know. But I do know that there is no reason for any fan to be upset with the racing this year in any way. If there is a tire issue that is affecting certain drivers, Goodyear, the WOO, and the WOO teams will handle that themselves. I have my own job to worry about. Watching racing is a recreation for me and it has been very, very good this year.

After driving along the interstate for about 400 plus miles I had a thought as I seen blown tires along side the highway. After seeing about 4 of them, I began to pull over to investigate. Not one Hoosier out of 30 tires.

Didn't they stop making car tires a few years ago due to some lawsuits or something to do with failures? Can't remember for sure if it was them or not, just remember something like that.

If memory serves, 2 or 3 years ago there were probably more Hoosiers that 'failed' in one Kings Royal A main than Goodyears that 'failed' the entire week of the Nationals this year...
Just sayin
