This post is not intended to be a flame in any way shape of form against one school or another.
As everyone knows that visits this board quite often the battle between the two state schools can get heated at times.I have been guilty of it myself many times as well. With what has happened to the fairgrounds do you think that football might be a distraction as the football season gets closer and closer?
There will always be the rivalry between the two schools that is a fact. Fans will talk noise to each other as well. But, I am wondering where is the cut off between "school" sports and racing.

in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he
stands at times of challenge and controversy."

bit of an odd thought Erich lol.
Are you insinuating that if I attend a fall dirt track wearing OU crimson I might be the target of a heinous act? that involves foxes, blood hounds, or heat seeking missiles? (haha had to throw the pineapple express ref in there).
If already there are not enough issues in local dirt track racing - Erich just has to pile it on......lol
j/k of course. dont think I am that worried about it. 95% of the time people act like idiots there is alcohol involved - it's usually alchohol related with sports except with high school you just have a lot of immaturity & testostarone packed in a tight space.
I just wander if this means I will get mobbed for wearing my favorite Larry Neighbors shirt (that I dont own) - i would hate that lol.

You need to quit doing that thinking thing, MeowBarky!! HAHA!! j/k, man! lol!
I say there is no VS. It's BOTH!! Football AND Racing!! As far as a distraction, I just don't look when I pass by the Fairgrounds. And I try to avoid your pictures of the depressing destruction, too. lol! Nah, really, I just can't turn away. It SUCKS big-time, and it really hurts to see that place go down, but I just have to look! But there's still racing - for now - somewhere - and football, so I may survive! Ha!
Let's Go Racin'!!

There's a rivalry?
