Since it will be 4 days prior to the 360 Nationals, I'm wondering if the car count will be a little beefed up this weekend at Knoxville? Remember the old days before the the whole thing exploded and went 10 straight days, the weekend before the Nationals always had a ton of cars, It was by far the best bang for the buck.
Really need to stay home and get the camper ready for Nationals but I have a feeling this weekend will be a good car turn out.

Yeah I remember those days, it was always one of the best shows of the year.
I've thought about trying to make it down this weekend too. I see Shane Stewart is going to be there in a 410. I'm sure there are others that will be there too getting some extra seat time at Knoxville.

I was thinking along the same lines as you guys. I will make the trip up there this weekend for my preNationals weekend since I will be at I55 for the Ironman.

The All-star show at Huset's may pull some of the cars that are interested in trying to win some money instead of hot lapping for the nationals. Just a thought.

Knoxville must be a non paying show?
Make a lot more money at Huset's than getting ready for a 9,500
to start show?

I wasn't saying anything about what knoxville pays and definitly wasn't being sarcastic. I'm just stating that this weekend may not be the weekend that you see a drastically increased car count at knoxville. I believe that the following Saturday night at knoxville, the night of the 360 final, will have more 410's than normal.

Just a thought, but keep in mind, most positions pay better at Knoxville than with the All Stars.
Knoxville pays the same for second, and more for third, fourth and 12th on back...

Bill, Thank you for sharing the payouts. I guess I'm wierd but I like information that like. Other than the WoO which publishes the winnings after each race, the others seem to be a secret for some reason.

What would you like me to say? Practice...warm-up...tune up for...get ready for...?
I've heard many of the WoO drivers say that all the races throughout the season are just "hot laps for the Knoxville Nationals".
I am sorry if it came of as sarcasm, it wasn't intended to sound like that.

The car counts at Knoxville have been going up since 2 or 3 weeks ago. A few visitors are trying to get in all of the laps they can including quite a few Aussies. It will definitely be a good show.
