As of today there are 47 pre-registered for the Nationals....How high will the numbers go??? I'm predicting 140 cars this year.

80-100 is a good range, you would think since its the 50th it'd be higher but i think 100 is max.

I'd love to see Bud Keading, Breant Keading, Jason Statler, Kevin Swindell, Tommy Tarlton all those guys make it out

when is the last year BK was at the nationals?

I think you will see quite a few "area cars" there just to be a part of it and have their name in the program.

For those of you going I hope you have a good time and experience some GOOD racing.

There will some NorCal drivers coming this year like TK, J. Allard, Z. Zimmerley and maybe a few more. Hopefully someone will offer Kyle Larson a ride.

I bet there will be around 100 cars like the past severeal years.

Low 50's Wednesday night, mid to upper 40's Thursday night.

Might be a long time before we see mid to upper 60's or lower 70's again for a given qualifying night.

I am hoping for 120. Last few years have been between 105-110. With the increased purse and the prestige of the 50th edition, I am hoping for an increase.

I think last year we were right at a 100 cars. Hopefully we will get a good 360 and Non Wing Count also. I heard last year there wer over 40 non-wingers at Knoxville to watch the thunderstorm roll in.

I agree with you on the purse and prestige. Thats why you'll see some drivers show up for the first time in years and other making their first ever trip to the Nationals just to be a part of it all. I'm sure we can push it up 20-25 cars from last year. Can't wait!!!

huh, the way I see it is,

"We" represents a die hard fan, racer, owner, crew, official, board member, ect. sombody that turns with changes, accepts today and looks forward to tommarrow , agrees with most and questions little ,respects the past and understands why , a educated fan in one aspect or the other, drivers are still fans ,simply one that will be there no matter what , why ? because its Knoxville !

"They" represents (possibly) sombody with a grudge?, maybe, no ties to committed parties ? maybe a negative bias opinion ? , (sometimes understandable) maybe, no real passion for the sport of sprint cars? just maybe, they keep a full arms distance from parties within ? ..

have you ever suggested a sprint race to somebody less involved as you? , ever described a sprintcar to sombody while getting excited yourself ? if you answered yes , welcome to the "WE" party.. JMO

Great post Dirtdevil...even though I had to read it twice to understand...too many coma's..hahaha...but it is so true, if you are a Knoxville Nationals regular you start to say "we" all of the time, and you should....because that is what the Nationals is all about...it's our (sprint car fans) Indy 500 and then some...

I have to laugh when I read half of these post bitching about one thing or another about the Nationals....the Uproar over 50 laps, fuel stops, ect.....what most of the people (the "they" people) on here don't understand is the Nationals aren't just about the A Main...Its about a week of celebrating the sport that we all love...it's about the inverted heats..it's about the 360 dude that runs third in the C Main, it's about re-establishing friendships that you haven't spoken to since last year.....if you have never been "here" you will never understand...

Last year they had close to 110, I think this year will have between 110-115.

95 cars for 2010.

I vote that everyone blames Goodyear. The tire rule killed racing, after all.
