NCRA Southern Mods Add Enid Speedway to Schedule

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Midwest City, Oklahoma - July 1, 2010 - Officials with the O'Reilly Auto Parts National Championship Racing Association have announced a scheduled addition to the series southern modified 2010 race schedule.

Enid Speedway in Enid, Oklahoma has come aboard and inked a Saturday night, July 24 date at the historical Garfield County fairgrounds facility for the series southern modified division. It will be the first race for that division at the track where the division averaged the highest car count during weekly racing action. The speedway closed the first part of May due to low car counts and fan support.

Checkered Flag Promotions CEO Ed Beckley of Dodge City, Kansas has agreed to take over promotion of the track for the remainder of the season with a complete track schedule to be announced soon. The O'Reilly/NCRA southern modified event will be the first event promoted by Beckley, who also runs Dodge City Raceway Park in Dodge City, Kansas every Saturday night and Liberal Fairgrounds Speedway in Liberal, Kansas on a limited basis. Support divisions will be announced soon.

It will be race six on the nine race 2010 season schedule for the series and a much anticipated stop as approximately ten drivers are regulars on the circuit. The nights feature finale will start twenty-four cars and pay $500 to win and $100 to start.

For more information concerning this huge event at Enid Speedway, contact Beckley (620) 225-3277.

To learn more about the O'Reilly/NCRA southern modifieds or one of their other four divisions, including sprint car, late model, modified north and modified south or the historical stats from the past 40 years of the series, call steward Chris Smith (918) 625-6200 or check them out on the world wide web at www.ncraracing.org.

tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift. That is
why they call it the present.

good to see this scheduled, enid and the ncra fit well together. I hope they get a good turnout of cars and fans. This is the first breathe into reviving enid racing. Hope everyone supports the track in every way possible.
