This Is Brent Marks Pennsylvanias next rising star. This kid is looking good and don't tear up equipment. He is one of the cleanest racers we have. There is some great young talent out there but I think this kid is the next Cody. Keep it up Brent

The best combination is a healthy mixture of patience and desire. I haven't seen this kid race, but it sounds like he has the right balance.

Still lacks horsepower. Which makes him ineffective at the Grove.
He's got Lincoln down.

I bought one of his t-shirts last night! He's got talent and a great looking car. I'm not going to annoint anyone the next big star though because we've all seen young drivers who look like the part come and go. I hope you're right though. Congrats to Brent on his first 410 win at Lincoln!
Another one to watch is Danny Dietrich. The slider he put on T-Dub to take 4th on the last lap last night was a veteran move you don't see often from a guy in his 2nd year of 410's. Danny won a couple times at Lincoln last year and got his first Grove win last week.
And yet another youngster who races the veterans tooth and nail and gives up nothing is Aaron Ott. Aaron also has 410 wins at both the Grove and Lincoln.

why do people think more horsepower necessarily the better? the less more traction and u can still gear the car just like everybody else and get good speed. keep up the good work hopefully get you out on the west coast

Aaron's problem is he is out of control. Dietrich at times can be out of control. Both have more horses than Marks, who is never out of control. That patience he showed during the B at Lincoln was impressive. Then again so was Dietrich saving himself from spinning and charging back through the field.

Marks is good. Nothing but talent in PA right now, young and old. Wilt is a standout as well.
Pat Cannon should be in a 410 already however. He should be a "next rising star". I understand Highlands knowing the 410s are not worth the money locally, but someone should step up and partner a 410 engine program with them then. Would be a sure thing.
They don't even know how to spell sprint car

I agree Ott is overly aggressive and needs to calm down a little but the kid is fast. Central PA's all time leading feature winner wrecked a lot of people over the years too.
I agree about Cannon. He's a great driver. I'll bet they are making more than 90% of the 410 teams out there.

Mark and Stevie Smith have been in victory lane with their Rider engines. Dewease has 3 with Morrison I do believe? Nobody said you have to have a Don Ott to get the job done
do it in the dirt

I beleive Mark Smith has been running a Don Ott for the past month. Therefore his speedweek with wasn't with a Rider.

i think it may have to do with his overall performance. the kid is getting better and better, and now has a win to add already. it is not easy to win here, or anywhere for that matter, and the way he handles himself on the track should be a good sign of things to come. oh and he doesnt tear up cars, and has good results. i see a great racing future for brent marks!
