I spoke to Terry on Saturday night at Knoxville and he said he was done. He was going to work on his own deal and hopes to be back in a car in two weeks. Sammy was going to run the car the rest of the year. His kid is going to keep driving for Big Game Treestands.

It's not Craig or his crew chief Mike. They were one of the top 3 cars every night when they were in the #2. They have just had a lot of bad luck this year. There is nothing that a driver can do about it. I just hope Tod is patient with them.

Same info I got from Terry on Saturday at Knoxville. I am glad this isn't affecting Austin as he is doing a great job for them and has tore up minimal equipment.

Good luck to Terry. I'll be counting the days until Sammy wears this car owner out - shouldn't be too many. Have fun Mr. Quiring - you will be joining a long and esteemed list.

would Tmac consider a 410 posse ride for PA speedweek?
Lincoln 1845 ft/.35 mile T1=118MPH
Eldora 2287 ft/.43mile T3=135MPH
Port 2716 ft/.51 mile T3=TBD
Grove 2792 ft/.53 mile T3=135MPH
Selinsgrove 2847 ft/.54 mile T1=136MPH

I agree because Craig was with a top notch team last year and the results werent there. This year same thing driving for Tod Quiring now. I like Craig and think that he is a good driver but if someone has to go its him IMO.

Terry is done with Big Game Treestands, there is no 24 car anymore. Terry is taking the #24 & starting his own team, while looking for a quality ride.

I don't know if Sammy will wear the car owner out personally.
IMO, Sammy has always been extremely professional, and makes the teams he drove for better. It's obvious to me that he hasn't burned too many bridges, as anyone that has ever crewed for him seem to still "step up to the plate" when Sammy is in town even for a one-off race.
Case in point, Clint Garner was on his crew, Sammy drove his car in the Master's Classic in 2009, Dave Hesmer was on his crew in the early 90's, still helps Sammy out whenever he can, Al Parker made sure Sammy had a "BEAST" of an engine for the Masters Classic in 2010 as well as 2009 (Parker supplied engines to the TMC 360 Team in teh early 90's).
He and Forbrook seem to still get along as well...

Gilliam, Annett, and the guy that brought him over to Australia recently are just three I would mention that may have a differing perhaps less glowing opinion.

Wierd, when Annett got put in the Knoxville Raceway Hall of Fame a couple years ago, his family thanked Sammy when they spoke on the PA system.
I don't know Gilliam or the guy from Australia, so I can't say how they feel.

With Annett that may be the case - either water under the bridge or just needing to say something nice - but he didn't stop fielding cars for Sammy because he ran out of money and that part I think you know.

Sammy has been driving sprint cars for what... 35 years or so and has 3 CAR OWNERS who wouldn't give him a glowing review?
Wow.
I wonder how many drivers can say that? Most drivers would amass 3 in 5 years, if they last that long in the sport.
I met Harold Annett at the Nationals one year and really enjoyed talking to him, btw. He had an awesome team. Loved the short-lived TMC 3 car "team" of Sammy, Hillenburg & Chris McDermott. Talk about an awesome sight! 3 of those TMC black cars...wow.
They had a messy divorce... so be it. Doesn't make either a bad person. To quote a bad movie: "all things end badly or else they wouldn't have to end."

Forgot about the Dollansky thing. Oops.
Bad luck? Really?
The "Dethroner" must have applied to something other than WoO titles... I don't know.
He seems professional and a good enough driver... but how many well-funded teams will he run with and have results like this year? Will the chances dry up? Back at Knoxville running weekly for a good team? (like... his current ride)
Everyone that "knows someone" has a laundry list of excuses why the KKR deal didn't work. Teammate won 20 or so WoO features.
So, we're saying this year CD is having bad luck? Then he's been awfully unlucky for a few years now.

TRUE!
And I love that quote. Not sure if it's the same movie as you but I remember that line from Cocktail.

I'm sure Tod is happy or he wouldn't be in the car. As for the big races, Sammy's won them all in his career and I'm sure he'll continue to be competitive. Dollansky dodged a bullet on this one, he has been very unproductive this entire year. Based on the long past history with TMac and BGTS, I'm surprised Dollansky didn't get the boot. All good things must end, maybe it was time for TMac to split. At least AMac keeps his ride with BigGame, the split must not have been too bad. BTW, Sammy will continue to outperform Dollansky.

Put Brownie in the car he would be much more productive than Craig and better with the fans.

Read his press release. He is out of the Big Game car and starting his own team. Look on the main hoseheads page. Should end all this wondering.

From two very very reliable sources on Saturday night, Terry is out. Personally, I'm disappointed. Don't know what all was involved in this decision, but Sammy is in, but I wouldn't be surprised if Sammy pizzed someone off or pizzed himself off and left the team at any point in the year, in my humble opinion.
Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

Who knows? Maybe Big Game and Sammy will stay married for a few years? It's a proven FACT; "owners and drivers" never last! Best of luck to both sides!
