Byron Reed won. Mark Keegan 2nd. Dean Jacobs 3rd. Stevie Smith spun while leading, did a 360 and kept going but the caution came out and he was stillsent to the rear. Tim Shaffer and Dale Blaney both ran out of fuel with 6 to go. Shaffer was leading at the time, Blaney was 3rd.

Does anyone know if they have always raced at these tracks in this order? I was figuring out the drive times between tracks and it seems like they should be able to lay the week out a little better to bring down the drive times.
I was looking at following the week for a future vacation but there are 2 nights back to back that are right around 4 hour drive times.
Dirt is for RACING, asphalt is for GETTING there!

Unfortunately we will never know who would have won at Attica if new rules were not made up on the spot. Byron
Reed had the fastest car but we will never know if he could have passed Tim
Shaffer or not. That’s not even fair to Byron, who ran a near flawless race. Four
cars ran out of fuel in one caution lap and then a red flag was thrown for fuel.
A decision was made to penalize the first two that ran out and none of the
others.
At the drivers meeting a new rule was made (not supported in
the rule book) that the race would run 40 laps or 1 hour. The drivers and crew
chiefs all knew that you can’t run a sprint car for an hour on 30 gals of fuel
but they went along with it. The race only made it 44 minutes before everyone
was empty or on fumes.
I don’t understand why no one protested this travesty.Steve K., Wolfgang or Sammy S. would not have
put up with this, if you want to go back further in time AJ Foyt and many of
the drivers of his era would have just loaded up their cars and went on to the
next track. It’s sad watching the demise of the All Stars, only a few years ago
it what was hard to park in the fairgrounds at Attica
because of all the campers. This year I could have parked anywhere I wanted.

Is it normal practice for as track that's on the speedweek schedule to run a regular 410 show against one of the other tracks speedweek races, like Sharon did last night?
