It's been a wild season so far both on the track and in the grandstands at Cowtown Speedway.

Last month, two lucky Cowtown fans won the right to participate in the Demo Derby when their lucky program number was drawn.

When all of the flying parts and crashing metal came to a stop, somehow, those two inexperienced fans ended up finishing first and second - taking home a total of $1,050 in the meantime.

Then, this past Saturday at the Palm Harbor Homes Family Fun Night & Sprint Car Racing Festival, a fan won a monster $1,807 jackpot - and as incredible as that was - that same fan had also won his race tickets from our online promotion at
http://www.995theWolf.com to boot!

So what's next in the near future for Cowtown fans?

Well, it's happening again:

THIS SATURDAY, June 19th, is the Cowtown Challenge for the Winged 600's on the 'big track' with the feature winner taking home well over $1,000 (complete event details on the track website)...but as importantly for two lucky fans, they will WIN the right to jump in Cowtown-prepared demo derby cars if their winning race program number is drawn!

Race programs will be on sale at their regular price of $3 and will give fans the opportunity of winning the right to compete in the demo derby on June 19. Note that drivers must be at least 18 years of age to compete. The demo cars and helmets will be provided. Fans must sign a release form in order to compete.

Joining the A-class Winged 600 Cowtown Challenge and Demo Derby will be the Cowtown Modifieds, Performance Transmissions raceTX.com Limited Modifieds and Bombers. The restricted division 600's will race on the Action Track, as will all of their regular and post-season events.

Adult ticket prices for this double-header special event will remain at $12 for ages 12 and up. Ages 3-5 are $2, while ages 6-11 are $5. Tickets are available online at
http://www.CowtownSpeedway.com at no additional charge and can be purchased by cash at the ticket gate on race night. Hot laps are at 6:30pm with racing at 7. Pit passes are $25 and A-class Winged 600's must bring at least $100 in sponsorship money that goes directly into their Cowtown Challenge purse or must pay a $50 entry fee. It is expected that the Cowtown Challenge bonus money will grow to well over $1,000, making it a possible to win $2,000 or more.

Don't miss out on what will certainly be another night of wheel-bangin', race fan winnin', affordable family fun this Saturday, June 19th, with the 2nd annual Winged 600 Cowtown Challenge and Race Fans vs. Demo Derby Drivers night at the Fastest Lil' Dirt Track in Texas - Cowtown Speedway!

The radio station said in the email it had to be picked up.

If it can be sent to David Smith for the Steve King foundation I would be glad to give it to them.

OK, that promo has nothing to do with Cowtown Speedway or the race there last Saturday.

That gift certificate is from registering on their www.995thewolf.com email club - - - isn't that where you got the email from? Did you register online at their site?

I'm actually a member of that email club and recently won $100 from COMP USA and I had to go pick up the certificate too - which is pretty common for radio stations. I won concert tickets on one a few years ago and they wouldn't mail them either.

I took it from your original post that you won something at the race track on Saturday and they wouldn't give it to you.

No it was the radio station. Is there anyway you can pick it up and mail it to David so he can give it to the Steve King foundation? If not I understand, Thanks.

Ya, I'm like 40 miles one way to their office, but if I do get asked to go to a meeting there or something like that, it's possible - if they will give it to me; as you're supposed to show up with your ID to claim a prize.

Its ok if you cant. Don't go out of your way just for it. It was just a thought. If your not going that way its not worth the gas.

As of Thursday night, all systems are a 'go' for this Saturday's double-header special at Cowtown Speedway.

The weather forecast is dry and 93 at racetime with 10mph winds out of the south (to your back in the stands).

A big THANK YOU goes out to STEWARD BUILDERS ( http://www.stewardbuilders.com ) for their $300 sponsorship for the Cowtown 600 Challenge on the 1/4 mile track coming this Saturday, June 19th. Steward Builders offers commercial and residential construction with Years of Experience, with a Lifetime of Commitment. Contact them for your next construction needs!

And at that level of sponsorship, they will automatically receive two free pit passes to the event!

And the following is to ALL A-class 600 DRIVERS only:

Please do what you can to confirm your sponsor amount with me by Friday so I can get your sponsor some added publicity. All of the details are on the anchored posts at the Cowtown forums.

Reminder, any sponsor money announced on race day (Saturday) are NOT eligible for the free pit pass perk, as that perk expires Friday night.

Make sure to bring an absolute minimum of $100 in sponsor money with you to the track on Saturday night, or you will have to pay a $50 entry fee - and that $50 does not go to your Cowtown Challenge bonus fund. Again, details are on the anchored posts on the Cowtown forum.

The Cowtown Challenge bonus fund will certainly reach over $1,000 by race time, but the more we can build it up in advance, the more fans we will attract to see your biggest Cowtown race of the year - so help us to help YOU by getting on board by Friday night! THANKS...

Click http://www.CowtownSpeedway.com for complete event details.

JUNE 19th RACE DAY UPDATE:

-All is on AS SCHEDULED for tonight's event. The Cowtown staff was able to get the facility repaired after theives broke in and stole the copper wire out of the underground electrical system, amongst other things.

-The forecast for race time is 94 with a south breeze (to your back in the stands) at 10mph, falling into the 80's throughout the evening.

DON'T MISS OUT tonight for your chance to WIN a demo car to race in the derby...and possibly take home the $750 top prize like the last 'Fans vs. Demo Drivers' derby last month!

Also, the 25-lap A-class 600 feature on the 1/4 mile high banks is one race that a lot of fans and drivers are looking forward to. Last year both Kevin Ramey and Hunter Jones took the Cowtown Challenge and Kevin Ramey almost pulled it off. Look for a Cowtown Challenge bonus jackpot of over $1,000 tonight...which would make the race pay a minimum of $1,100 and possibly over $2,000 to win!

Please click www.CowtownSpeedway.com for complete details.

6/19 Partial quick results:

Jared Webb escaped a wild opening lap skirmish (that saw 1/2 the field involved) to take home a well deserved win in the Cowtown Modifieds tonight at Cowtown Speedway. 27 modifieds were on hand.

And even though 10 cars were involved in the opening lap wreck, all drivers would return to the track to restart the race. Amongst those involved were Sean Jones and Clyde Dunn Jr.

In the 25-lap Winged 600 Cowtown Challenge, 12th place starter Jeb Sessum took the lead midway through the event, then held off 6th place starter Hunter Jones and 18th place starter Andy Hogan to haul in $1160. Jones won $660, Hogan took home $410 for third and all drivers finishing in the top 10 earned a minimum of $210.

34 Winged 600's from across the region took part in the special program.

Complete event results will be posted by KP when they are available, most likely on Sunday.

Next Saturday, June 26th, the 600's return to the 1/4 high banks when the EMSA series takes on the Cowtown A-class 600's, wingless, in what will sure to be another exciting race.

Joining the EMSA/Cowtown Challenge will be the Cowtown Modifieds, Bombers, Performance Transmissions raceTX.com Limited Modifieds and Restricted 600's. Hot laps at 6:30 and races at 7pm.

Thanks to all that came out and enjoyed another great night of action at Cowtown Speedway and please click www.CowtownSpeedway.com for more information.
