Was wondering if anyone knew who won at Quincy last night? Did they have a good car count?

Glad I didn't go to Quincy last night. Looks like Jimmy Hurley won, with 10 cars !!

LOL. The MESS series is the biggest joke of all time!

Thats cool that Hurley won! Only 10 cars were there? Wow that is pretty crappy for the fans. Glad I didnt go then since I was at a cookout. That is a joke though, esp for 20 bucks to get in.

The O’Reilly Midwest All Star Sprints main event was a one man show as Jimmy Hurley dominated the thirty lap main event by leading every lap of the thirty lap distance. A.J. Bruns tried in vain to catch Hurley but had to settle for the second spot followed by Jarrod Hull third, Jimmy Moughan in fourth and Jeremy Standridge in fifth. Kody Kinser and Bruns were the heat race winners.

O’Reilly Midwest All Star Sprints

A-Main -- 1. Jimmy Hurley, Springfield; 2. Aaron Bruns, Lincoln; 3. Jerrod Hull, Sikeston, Mo.; 4. Jim Moughan, Springfield; 5. Jeremy Standridge, Springfield; 6. Kody Kinser, Bloomington, Ind.; 7. Jimmy Davies, Oquawka; 8. Mike Hess, Springfield; 9. Terry Babb, Decatur; 10. Robbie Standridge, Springfield.

Heat 1 -- 1. Kody Kinser, Bloomington, Ind.; 2. Jerrod Hull, Sikeston, Mo.; 3. Jimmy Davies, Oquawka; 4. Jeremy Standridge, Springfield; 5. Terry Babb, Decatur.

Heat 2 -- 1. Aaron Bruns, Lincoln; 2. Jim Moughan, Springfield; 3. Jimmy Hurley, Springfield; 4. Mike Hess, Springfield; 5. Robbie Standridge, Springfield.

Dash -- 1. Jim Moughan, Springfield; 2. Kody Kinser, Bloomington, Ind.; 3. Jerrod Hull, Sikeston, Mo.; 4. Aaron Bruns, Lincoln.

time for Quincy to book a different sprint series. 10 cars isn't worth it. but i bet the other classes put on a show.

I drove 3 hours for this joke!!!!!!!!!!!! 10 cars only 8 in the heats. It was so bad they were offering half price off your tickets if you came back next week. It was a nice track but a waste of my time and money. I guess I can check it off my list of tracks I've been and won't be back. You can't beat 34 raceway, knoxville raceway and Lee county speedway as places to watch a sprint cars and all these tracks know how to run a good show. The late models put on a decent show, the poor guys in the stock cars if they happened to touch another car they either got sent to the back or the pits.

I was told by one of the sprint car crew people that the promoter wasn,t even gonna run the sprints because there wasn,t enough cars and Guy Webb had to pay part of the purse for them to be able to run. Can anybody confirm this.

I know all the sprinters packed up and were gone before all the races were gone. They looked like they waited for all of them to get ready and left in a group. It was the biggest joke I've attended in the 40 plus years of sprint car races that I have been goint to.

I heard the same thing but I dont know if its fact or not. I know I wouldnt of been happy if I was the promoter. Its too bad the fans didnt get to see a full field of sprints for their money. I wonder if they will still have them there come August. I need to make a trip to Farmington. From what Ive read they have had a full field of sprint cars and great racing there. Things like this with low car counts and the sprints leaving before the fans can get down in the pits to see them isnt a good thing for this sport.

I know exactly how you feel, I gave up on this mess long ago. Hopefully Quincy does like all the rest of the tracks and says good riddance before they lose more fans.

I think I will just stick with the Sprint Invaders they are good for 25 plus cars a show or the ASCS midwest group.

I'm wondering what happened to the Sprint Invaders at Quincy. Good car counts and good racing the last few times. Why MASS this year and no Invaders?

After this weekend I dont think you will see the MASS series there again. Either get the Sprint Invaders or IRA to come there and race. They dont have issues with car counts thats for sure.

Can you really call it a series...when you only have 10 cars?
