First off, I want to say "thank you" for your viewing of tidbits and making my baby become bigger than I had ever imagined back when I started it in 1998. It is not only frequented by people in Oklahoma but surrounding states as well. I built this thing to be informative and a place to where you could post your thoughts and opinions in a respectable manner.

However, it has got to a point where I need to make a request to all of you and whether you like me or not I do hope you respect me for what I have built with the help of you. With that said, I am making a request that I hope you will please consider.

As mentioned, tidbits is huge and alot of people you know do frequent as well as alot of people you had no clue. But also, there are those either new into racing or those who are looking at getting involved in some capacity. Figure that one out if you will.

This message board has come to the point where it is nothing but negative, bad mouth and trash talk. I don't want this message board to be soley for that purpose as you lose your good people because of it. Trust me when I understand fredom of speech. I understand it more than you do as I was there ten years ago. I had columns for Sprint Car News, Jayhawk Racing Journal and on Hoseheads before tidbits broke ground. Even where tidbits broke ground I used this site and my column to post exactly how I felt with no regard to anything.

At the point was around 2001 or 2002 when I was too mouthy and then got a talking to by a couple of people who gave me advice. After digging myself in holes I learned it was time to change as I wasn't respected by several track owners and people at the time.

With the change of the way I approached racing I got alot more viewers and appreciation of what I had developed back in 1998. Respect from track owners and drivers to your average race fans. It has now got to be where I never invisioned.

Lately this message board is nothing but negative and that is not good for the people who have stood by me and my website and the new people looking to get involved who come here - and trust me when I say they do come here. Each passing week I hear of some powers to be that are "tuning in" so to speak.

Negative comments are not good for our deal with racing not only here locally but statewide as well. As mentioned, trust me when I say I understand your freedom to post your thoughts as I was there and deep. But I do ask that you please try to be constructive in what you post and offer solutions instead of the negative. As a couple of people have stated to me, tidbits is nothing but a bitch board. That hurts me as that is not why tidbits was formed. I want it to be informative, just as I try to make the front page when I update, informative.

I know there are those of you who don't like me and I respect that as I probably feel the same, but I do ask that you please think before you post and make this website popular for the right and positive reasons. Informative, something you and others who frequent here can say tidbits is a good thing, not negative.

Do as you want to but I do request that you please consider what I ask of you as tidbits is not only my baby but as I have stated over and over before it is also your message board as well so please respect it as such.

Thank you for your time, bash away at me if you must...
