I was just curious how the track held up? I didn't see all the haters on here saying they would never go back. Glad that Paul could get it done.

The track was great! It was a great night of racing! We had high winds all night, so it got dusty at the end, but every track gets dusty in high winds.

Give credit where credit is due. Two very good nights with challenging conditions both days and the track was good. As bad as the first night (USAC) was, this was more of what we have been used to, right up on the fence, fast and slide jobs. Now with guys coming from back in the pack to win or challenge for a win, if this is the Goodyears then I am a Goodyear fan.
Great job Eldora crew for running the shows quickly on Friday and beating the rain, 90 minutes for heats and features with stock cars mixed in, amazing! Then on Saturday with a 40 degree difference from Friday coupled with 25 mile an hour wind, they got the feature in the books and we were leaving the track before 9:45. Outstanding stuff! Also, Friday it would have been very easy to pull the plug with the forecast and a small crowd, probably due to the forecast, but you raced and those that showed up, myself included, I know really appreciated the effort.
So those that were staying away until they got things figured out, and I was one who was vocal after the first nights debacle, it seems the good folks at Eldora are all over it and listening to the race fan, running efficient shows and the track prep for two nights was in my mind very, very good.

Not that strange that those who don't hesitate a New York second to whine/bitch/cry about something don't bother taking a few minutes to say something good; especially those who bother to create a new account to do so.
Thanks to TommyBahama for doing just that. It's easy to be negative, but it takes a real human to "give credit where credit is due" as he said.
There isn't a track anywhere in the world that doesn't have good nights and bad. It's how they react to the bad ones that counts.
Kudos Eldora!!
I am lucky enough to work at one of the best tracks
anywhere.
