Hello fellow race fans,
People have been clamoring all week to see it, and I have finally uploaded the video from Saturday night's nasty crash at Tulare involving Jonathan Allard and Tim Shaffer. Sorry for the delay, but I did not feel it proper to put up this clip until both drivers were released from the hospital, I consulted with the World of Outlaws, as well as Jonathan Allard regarding it. When Jon asked me to post it, I started working on it.
Usually I am not a big fan of putting up videos of "crashes" (unlike most video guys, I am not an "ambulance chaser"), but there was a specific request (many, actually) to post this. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0nU7-MC87s
As I stated on YouTube:
This video is not intended to glorify this crash, but is a testament to the advancements in safety in sprint car racing. Both drivers managed to walk away, and after being hospitalized for observation, both were released with a clean bill of health. Jonathan Allard credits Bell Safety Equipment and Butler Built Seat Systems for keeping him safe in this brutal accident.
There ya go, folks.

Thank God for keeping these drivers safe!
I'd rather be in Knoxville.

Thanks. The drivers that entertain us putting it on the edge should be thanked as well. They are not getting rich by any means. It has been said sprint cars eat women, children and dogs. Jimmy Johnson should carry Tim's helmet!
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?
