To everyone that bitched and moaned about the Goodyear tire, you'd better start re-thinkng your opinions. The tire is part of the close competition this year, as they had ANOTHER great race last night in Vegas with the winner coming from 18th and were 3 wide for the win at the stripe. Add this to the great racing in Florida, I'd have to say the new tire from Goodyear has helped increase the closeness of the racing. Heck, the results are right there in black and white. Cuddos to Goodyear so far!

Yeah, if they hadn't been on those Badyears the finish would have been totally different!

I don't know this for a fact, but it looks like Tim Shaffer won East Bay on Goodyears. Isn't that the track that the Hoosier D-10 was designed for?

I'm glad someone brought up Mr. Shaffer.
All I've read online for 6 months is how Goodyear has ruined racing... they're taking the little teams out because now you have to run Goodyear rear tires... no one will run a WoO anymore because of having to buy some Goodyears...
...Mr. Shaffer has proven all the boobirds wrong. End of story.
You mean (as I have said all along) you can actually run competitively with a Goodyear left rear you bought for WoO/All Stars/Knoxville/PA in a series without a LR tire rule?????????
OH MY GOSH!!!!!! THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!!!!!!!! WILL THE WONDERS EVER CEASE????
Everyone acts like if you buy a Goodyear tire that it will ruin you and your finances. Racing isn't cheap, folks. Never was, never will be. YES, you will have a right rear or 2 or 3 that are only good at the before mentioned tracks and series... but they're also the majority of 410 races in this country.
Tony Bruce can win ASCS races with a flat top wing... and Tim Shaffer can win races with Goodyears on 3 corners... and neither of those situations are mandatory.
There will be races this year when the drivers run the softest tire available and it doesn't last. That is a case of poor tire management, setup and pure driver throttle control more than anything I'll bet. There will be races when the tires just flat out don't grab the track like they could. With endless types of dirt and clay surfaces... it's inevitable no matter who is making the tires.
Go Goodyear! Thanks to Tim Shaffer for proving a point in a most emphatic way.

I'm sure the double file restarts helped to come from 18th. Not knocking Jason he passed all the fast cars and put on a show. Congrats to Jason and team.

Truth hurts to some people. How about all the close racing down in Florida? Name calling is for people that cant handle the truth......keep em' coming dude. At the end of the day, Goodyear has not hurt sprint-car racing at all, so you all need to get over it and move on. It's as easy as that.

Yeah, Goodyear got it right but there will, as you see, still be the pizzers and moaners about anything and everything to do with the WoO or that 180 billion dollar deficit organization the World Racing Group.

Yeah, and when Yokahama gives the "shirts at WRG" more money we will be singing their praises and bad-mouthing those "badyears" they ran in 10 !

All you goodyear slurpers get a life! Anytime something "positive" happens - its the tires, its the tires (screaming in your effeminate voices!). Goodyear buying their way back into the sport is not good for the sport. There needs to be competition, not an 800 lb gorilla throwing their weight (money) around.
28 WoO cars at Vegas? Wonder how many ASCS cars will be at the Vegas finalein Nov?

I don't believe that it is the tire that racers are upset about. It is the 2 tire rule. One veteran racer estimated that his beginning of the season tire bill will triple due to the change. That hurts the racer no matter how you spin it.

So what you're saying is that racers didn't buy LR tires before, right?
Uh, OK.........seems to me that racers can sell their used tires to 305 and 360 racers to help offset the cost of new tires......JUST LIKE THEY DID IN THE PAST!

Not bashing any tyre maker, just wondering why we have to have a mandatory tire rule in the first place??? What's wrong with competition? Isn't that what it's all about?

And that same veteran driver didn't have to buy new tires when they went with the Hoosier rule???
Or maybe he's just pizzed because he was on a Hoosier deal and now he has to pay the same as everyone else................

Quality vs. quantity. There's always more minor league players than major leaguers. Arguing the ASCS car count vs. whoever means nothing. As for the Goodyears, so far they have performed great, no one can take that away from them. The dominating car at East Bay was on the Goodyears except for the mandatory Hoser on the right rear! Maybe Hoosier should've done more to remain the biggest player? To this point you have to give Goodyear a thumbs up, racers are choosing their tire even though they could choose the other brand.

SPRINTER25 here in the midwest racers will be racers and most 305 and 360 racers buy new not used
